Horses seem to love it!
I crack up at the name "Guilt-free" because, unlike me, I really don't think my mare would ever feel guilty about eating anything... or for that matter, feel guilty about anything in general! But all the same, I appreciate the concept of a healthy treat. She's never turned down any horse treat, and this one is no different. She gobbles them right up, and so do her friends when we share. I like the size of the treats. Perfect for carrot stretches.

Berry Banana Smoothie smells artificial
I like SmartCookies. Usually they seem healthy and tasty. The Berry Banana Smoothie flavor could not have a stronger, more artificial strawberry flavor if they tried! Would it be impossible to put real, dehydrated strawberries in instead? It claims to have "natural" flavor, but I'm guessing that's an unregulated word, because there is nothing natural about the strawberries here. Nonetheless, the horses like them. But I definitely will stick with the other flavors that I believe are a bit closer to "natural".

Great cookies but...
I've been getting the peppermint patty flavor and I've been surprised with my last couple of bags because there were a lot of crumbs. Usually, towards the bottom, you start to notice crumbs and I've been noticing crumbs at least mid-way through. There just seem to be more crumbs than usual and I'm not sure if it's the particular flavor or the brand in general... My horses love them but the crumbs make it hard to give them the cookies.

Strawberry banana smoothie full of salt!
I ordered two bags of the strawberry banana smoothie flavored treats, and I found they are incredibly salty. I always taste my horses’ treats prior to feeding them. I would not buy this flavor again. My mare ate 3 little nuggets and refused any more.

My horse loves these
I've been feeding Giddyup Girls for years and just found these when looking for an alternative treat. My horse loves these even more and I feel good about the ingredients. The price is comparable to other treats and they smell great freshly opened. It will take some time to know how well they keep. The bag was vacuum sealed when I received it and reseals easily, so I hope it helps them stay fresh longer than buckets.

My horses are so lucky to get a combination of a delicious treat that is still healthy! Both of them love the banana flavor and can’t get enough of it. Plus, they are not crumbly and hold their shape in your pocket.

Did not pass the taste test
Generally speaking, my horse is not picky but for some reason he was not at all a fan of these treats. I have been giving them to other horses because my guy refuses to eat them. They are the perfect size for ring side treats and for encouraging body stretches. I wish my gelding liked them!

All 3 loved the Berry Banana Smoothie treats!
Even the picky mare gobbled them up. She's the one who always has to sniff the treat before taking it and she didn't hesitate when I offered her one of the Berry Banana Smoothie treats. The two geldings, who are not so picky, said "These are yummy, Mom, please buy more!" Guess I'd better order more ASAP, since this is a limited edition flavor. :)

Peppermint a bit strong
I bought these treats in the peppermint flavor for my older guy who we have to watch sugar intake, he would not eat them at all. He is a bit of a finicky eater and they smell very strong so I think they were too much for him, but everyone else in the barn had no problem finishing them. I like that they are natural ingredients but would say make sure if your horse is picky that you don't buy a bunch to start.

Fun Flavors
My horses are always excited to try treats that come in flavors other than the normal carrot, apple and mint. The apple cider donut is by far their favorite but they seem to enjoy all the seasonal options Smartpak produces! I love that I can feel comfortable giving these to my older horses with metabolic concerns on occasion. They are reasonably hard so probably not suitable for any equines with limited teeth

Barn Favorite!!
I bought the carrot cake smart cookies and all the horses at my show barn and rescue center loved them, including my somewhat picky mare! They smell great, aren't crumbly and I feel comfortable feeding them to ponies because they have no added sugar.

Awesome treatos!!
I usually throw in a bag of SmartCookies whenever I order from Smartpak. My horse loves them, and I don’t have to worry about added sugar. I will also add that the Apple Cider Donut smells heavenly, and I have yet to find a horse that refused to eat that flavor

Horses love them!
None of my 4 horses would ever turn down any type of treat but these are definitely a hit! The banana bread and carrot cake are their/my favorites. The mint are very strong smelling and while my horses still ate them several of my friends horses turned their nose to them. I’ve had no issues with crumbling with the bags I have received.

Seems to irritate horse's throat
My mare usually enjoys peppermint flavored treats, however, these particular ones seem to irritate her throat and she'll cough after eating them. I'm not sure if it's the peppermint flavor (it's really strong) or the crumbs (they crumble very easily) that cause it.

Delicious and Nutritious
The SmartCookies are one of my horses' favorite treats! They love the Guilt-Free Carrot Cake and Guilt-Free Peppermint Pattie flavors the best! My favorite part about these treats is the ingredients that I feel good about giving to my horses. Each of the flavors contain no added sugars and are made from a beet pulp/alfalfa base! Lastly, they are also bite-sized and perfect for training.

Too Crumbly
I decided to try the Smart Cookies for my horse. He likes the flavor well-enough, but I need to give him 3-4 at once because they are so small. They are also too soft and crumbly to keep stashed in my pockets for appropriate “reward” moments and end up like sticky sawdust after they have been in my pockets for a time. At least a 5th of the cookies have broken down in the bag they came in. I can pour it into his feed bowl but that is not why I purchased them. I only tried the peppermint flavor but I will not be purchasing any more of these in any flavor.

Must try the Apple Cider!
At first I was a little worried if these would be as good as they sound, or if my horse would like them. Well, as soon as you open the bag YOU will want to eat them! They smell amazinggg. My horse gave them a good sniff and quickly gobbled them down. He continues to "pocket hunt" my coat and jeans even when he's gotten all of his "good boy" treats. We will be adding these to autoship for sure.
