Rated 5 out of 5 by JJones from Miracle pad I did not think this would work the way it has, but it somehow keeps my saddle from slipping forward on my Lusitano who has very minimal withers. I pull the pad up into the gullet and it stays put. The saddle "beds down" into the pad, and when I slide my hand between his shoulder and the front of the saddle, his shoulder is still able to move freely. I am very picky about saddle fit, wanting my horse to be as comfortable as is possible. My only complaint is it is not wearing well, and the trim near the bottom looks worn. I ride almost daily and I am sure it is my leg, but would have hoped for longer before it looked worn. That said, I will buy another. On another horse with significant withers, It works just as well keeping the saddle from slipping backward.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Murph from Best non-slip saddle pad! My new horse couldn't seem to keep his saddle pad on! No matter the saddle or the pad. I tried a variety of combinations of both. This pad worked! While I'm not crazy about the faux fur at the top or the rubbery underside, the color looks great on my palomino and I will continue to use it.

So, I am only giving 3 stars at this time, because I was looking for very very specific sizing and the pad I received DID NOT have the measurements as indicated in the description. I've yet to try it, if I do and it works I will remedy my rating, but in the meantime if anyone is looking to purchase this pad the Spine is 21" in length (counting the fleece wither) and it only has a Drop of 18.5". It is also near 2" thick (the black part)....
