Great quality and fit
I purchased this for my daughter to have a little
more security. It is well made and fits our 16.3 boy.

Too short
I ordered this to use with my youngster on the trails so I don't brace against the pommel going down hills. He's 15 hands. This neck strap is too short even on the last hole, I would have to lean forward to reach it which defeats the purpose. I am reluctant to punch holes in it because I know I'll still need to figure out a way to secure it so it doesn't slide down the neck. Braiding the mane to the loop doesn't sound like a secure way to keep it from sliding. I wish SmartPak still printed a return label on the invoice because not everyone has a printer at home.

Where can i get a leather attachment that allows d ring on strap to be attached to d ring on saddle. Securing the strap so does not end up down neck and not reachable.

Super handy on a green horse...
I was hesitant to spend money on this when an old stirrup leather was working just fine, but I went ahead and bought one. I like that it is not super bulky, has that bit of elastic so it isn't likely to restrict movement, is easy to find and grab without looking during those "oh crap" moments, and is a good size in my hand. I don't use the metal ring to braid into the mane, that's just asking for hair to be ripped out. It WOULD be easy to add a thin strap to connect from the ring to saddle so if the horses head goes down, the strap doesn't go with it. (I haven't done that yet). Only downside is the leather keeper slides, and then I have a length of strap flapping around. Annoying. Fixed with a rubber band, but for a purpose made item, I shouldn't need to use a rubber band. So only 4 stars due to that.

Great training aid
I bought this for my straightness training. The strap is solid and fits well on my horse and isn’t thick or bulky

Well made
Well made, looks better than a repurposed stirrup leather and I love the elastic added for give. Definitely a must for horses with roached manes!

Nice thin, adjustable neck rope
This neck strap meets all my needs. I always found using a belt to be too thick. I like how adjustable this strap is and that I could braid it in if needed. I do think its a bit overpriced, but it was what I needed.
