These nets shrink
These nets shrink… a LOT! Over the 4 or so months have had these nets in use, the cord they are made from has contracted. As a result, the holes in the nets are smaller, the nets are smaller, and capacity is significantly reduced. I have included a side-by-side comparison picture of a used net and an unused net. I bought four nets and all of them shrank, this is not a one-off issue.

Expensive, but worth it. Great slow feed net!
Got one of these about a month ago for my easy keeper who can manage to inhale his hay when in a regular 2" hole hay net. He recently was put on a dry lot so I wanted something that would hopefully last him long enough so he always has some forage available without being overfed especially with him out of work right now cause, you know, horses. A full large hay net last him a full day. The net was quite stiff, as new hay nets are, and took a few weeks for it to be "broken in" but now that it is, it's easy to fill and easy to pull over a bale. After nearly a month there's been no fraying or any damage of any sort to the net. I also got at the same time a Smartpak brand slow feed net, and it doesn't come close, this hay net is far superior. This hay net is double the price, but worth it. It is bigger, has smaller holes and is far easier to fill. The only thing I can say from a criticism standpoint is I wish there were other color options, being that I use this loose in the paddock, black is not an easy color to spot from a distance, the blue string is nice and helps, but it would be nice to have a brighter color like red that would be more contrast to the colors on the ground and make finding the empty net easier.

Great net for fast eaters/waste reducing
I am very happy with these nets. My boys eat off these 24/7 and they lasted almost 5 months with no holes. Great quality. You can also fit a lot of hay in them as well.

Not durable
I’ve bought this product over many years. Durability has decreased over the years with horses easily making holes in the netting now. Will not waste money on this product again.

Not up to Smart Pak Standards
Purchased two for my mini donkey and mini mule. Within a week they had chewed a hole in one. The netting material is very lightweight and the bottom is square not rounded and harder to fill evenly. I have some older small mesh nets that I paid much less for that I have used for years with heavier netting and have had no problems. When I hang one of the older ones with the 'shire hay bag they go to the older one and ignore the shire bag.

Less Waste
I got two and started using them about a week ago for my gelding who likes to pull hay out of nets and feeders for fun and then to pee on it. So far I am impressed at how much it has reduced the hay he wastes (was using 2" hole rope nets and the fabric ones with 1.5" squares before). The nets are easy to stretch over the end of a bale to fill and I like that the top rope is a contrasting color since it makes it easy to find. Unfortunately one of the nets had a horse-face size hole in it within three days of use. I've mended it with twine and so far no new holes in that or the other one, but given that all my previous nets from other manufacturers have lasted at least a year with the very same horse, I'm not impressed on durability. Time will tell if that was a fluke and if I would really recommend this product.

Works good! Sturdy.
Bought this a month or so ago and really like it. The holes are nice and small which makes the hay last longer, the rope it is made from is thin so the hay pieces stick out easily but still seem very strong. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is that I ordered 2 of the small which is supposed to hold up to 14 lbs. I feed my mare 8 lbs of Bermuda in the mornings and it is all I can do to get it to fit in one of the hay nets, the second one is even smaller and it won't fit at all. They have greatly exaggerated the amount it will hold. I will be buying 2 large ones for my mare and use the small ones for my pony who only gets 3 lbs.

1.5 flakes lasts my 2 minis 5+ hours
We have 2 older minis that share about 1.5 flakes twice a day for meals. They get fat on air so we have to be careful about giving them too much out of guilt when we see them with no hay or they blow up. 1.5 flakes in these nets take the 2 of them 5+ hours to eat together vs 2 hours if fed loose on the ground.

Made of “dental floss”
I purchased this item for a 31 year old horse who would pull all the hay out of ordinary hay nets within a couple hours & then urinate on the hay. While the hay net prevented him from being able to pull all the hay out quickly, the material the net is made from is so delicate that it tore or broke within the the first 24 hours of use. This is not a good hay net for any horse that is an aggressive eater. Without an aggressive eater, it might last a few days longer but not a hay net that will last a year.
