Rated 5 out of 5 by DixiesMom from My Helmet Salvation My daughter rides dressage and hunter and has worn Troxel helmets since she started riding over 5 years ago. She has a large, round head and they seem to suit her head shape. As she recently turned 13, her helmet was hurting her head. She had outgrown it! She needed a 7-3/4 and there aren't many brands that go that large. We tried Charles Owens which was too oval, then KEP which also hurt her head. This Samshield has been the best fit for her and was a keeper. The price is out of sight, but I want her to have a helmet that fits. It seems like it's vented better than the others and her trainer thinks it's very attractive and low profile. We brush the dust off after each ride and have a hat bag for it, although it does come with a bag that could be used.
