Favorite Tee Tap
I had to purchase a replacement because my original Safety Spin Tee Tap came apart and the tap portion separated from the rubber. That was disappointing, but it's the best tap I've used so I replaced it.

Worked great until it broke!
I've only used this tap about 4 times and today while unthreading it from the shoe the screw stayed in the shoe while the rubber part came off. I had to use pliers to get the screw out of the shoe.

It was defective. We bought 4 of these, not all from smart pack. They were all crooked and stripped our horses stud holes. I had to get new shoes put on! One of them, the metal part broke off in the horses shoe!!! Before an event!!! The manufacturer must be having problems with this product. I do not recommend this.

Great addition to tack box !
Bought this for my daughter, I've used one and it makes putting in studs much easier than using the old style T-tap. Much safer too !

So far so good
Only have used this a couple of times so I can't speak to it's longterm durability but so far it's made my life easier when prepping to put in my guy's studs. And I like the fact that even if he puts his foot down it's a flat surface instead of something to break off.

Much safer than regular ones
I chose to get this when my horse managed to get her foot away from me while I was tapping with regular tee tap. It ended up snapping off in her foot and I couldn't get it out. With this I'm less worried about that happening and I know if my horse manages to get away from me it (hopefully) won't end up breaking off in her shoe. The large handle is easier to turn as well.

great idea...doesn't hold up
I bought this because my horse often feels the best time to step down and start misbehaving is when I have the T spun all the way in. I used this product maybe 3 times and while it was a bit difficult to get the tap lined up to the threads it was great since I felt it was alot safer than the regular T; that is until on the 4th use the thread spun away from the rubber pad and the thread was stuck in my horse's shoe with no way to get it out.

I bought my tee tap with high hopes. I have one horse who is spooky and can get upset quickly, so was thrilled with the idea of the added safety. I never use it though, the metal tap is set into the rubber disc crooked so is extremely hard to line up. I used my friend's straight one a few times, good product when not defective.

Great idea, terrible product
I was so excited when I saw this product and even more excited when I got to use recently. However, as good as the idea is, the product is terrible. It broke the first time I used it. The tap separated from the rubber pad and nearly got stuck in my horse's shoe. The tap part is not secured in the rubber properly. I am sending this back and will continue to use the traditional tee-tap until a better product comes out.
