It features a 1000 denier exterior backed by Rhino®’s Barrier Technology. That means that even if your horse manages to tear the tough outer shell, the waterproof protection remains intact. The lining on this blanket will keep your horse looking and feeling great with shine-enhancing and antibacterial properties. Plus, the Surefit neck design reduces pressure on the withers while the patented V-Front closure wraps around the point of the shoulder, keeping the blanket light across the chest and relieving pressure on the shoulders. Super waterproof
I got this to replace an among j had for about 10 years that had just lost its H2O proofness after being washed many times per season. I’m hoping this one will be as good. Love the fit 16hh reg American Paint i got him a 78 and it fits perfectly. The only con (4 stars) is I wish it came with the covered tail cord on the blankets because it comes with a nylon one that clients caked in manure so I purchased the other one for $13 I already recommended it to a barn mate and she bought one for her draft cross same size fits great!

Horseware Rhino Wug SP Collection Blankets ROCK!
Just purchased this medium weight TO blanket in Navy/Hunter Plaid for my 25 year old Appendix QH mare. Purchased my first Rhino from SmartPak in 2014 and it's still working well, re-waterproofed a couple of years ago! I love the Rambos, but they're too pricey for me. She now has several Rhinos (and Amigos). With high sharp withers and a 16.1hh TB/QH build, the Wug/Surefit high neck prevents shoulder rubs, and the V front closure allows her to lower her head without restriction or pressure on her withers. For the medium and heavy weight blankets, I use a Sleazywear Shoulder Guard underneath. After trying many blankets, the Rhino size 75 (she measures 76 but they're too big) with a tail cord fits her well. The best thing is that the Rhinos don't shift around as the blankets with leg straps used to do. I found that the Rambo Bungee Tail Cord is much easier to keep clean and doesn't catch as much manure as the fabric tail straps that come with the blankets. I've replaced ALL the straps on my Horseware/SP blankets (and others as well) with these elastic cords - no need for leg straps!!! My mare is very active and loves to race around, roll and lie down in her runout and turnout, and she has not destroyed any of these blankets yet. The waterproofing has also held up well when she rolls in the snow (snow angels!) and wet mud. These are not rain sheets, and are fine with wet weather (but not for prolonged cold rain or heavy downpours). She also likes to lie down in her stall, usually on her manure/urine spots (of course!) and nothing has gotten through the blankets to her skin. I LOVE these blankets! Ripped in a week!
Very irritated this blanket ripped in a month on a horse that was on stall rest. And they will not replace it with the so called "hassle free return" policy. I only bought this bcuz of their guarantee and the fact that my last one lasted more than 5 years!! I always buy from SmartPak first, I will have to rethink that moving forward.

Not the quality I expected
Blanket is just ok. I was expecting better quality, as I have quite the collection of Amigo blankets and find them to be gray quality. The high neck on this blanket will not stay up, almost like the lining is cut smaller and pulls the neck back. Only worn for half the season and there are several snags already - definitely not as durable as my other blankets. I do appreciate the front closure and fillet strap.

Great features and great fit! Love these blankets.
I bought the sheet and mid-weight last year, and this year added the heavy weight. My Hank is a Warmblood with a short back and a deep chest with broad shoulders. These blankets fit him with no rubbing. Hank won't wear anything else!

Great sheet for the price!
My horse has only worn the blanket for a month so can’t speak for the durability. Great fit. Is a tad on larger side. I ordered the 84” for my 17.2h mare. Colors are nice. I wish it would have said in the description though that it did not come with a tail or leg straps.

Don't stop making this turnout!
I nearly freaked out when I saw these turnouts on clearance. I've bought just about every other brand, but these are the only ones that are truly waterproof, fit just about every size and shape of equine, and last season after season. Fortunately, SmartPak assured me that they will continue to carry them...hooray!

Such nice quality!
Smartpak was amazing while I returned and bought this blanket in two different sizes four times. They even gave me free overnight shipping!
That said, the blanket runs a little big, even for a rhino and the black plaid is a slightly different color than in the pictures. I really like the two layers of the sheet (the silky lining and actual waterproof material) and the clips. It hasn’t rubbed so far and I don’t think it will. The high neck was a necessity because my mare lives outside and I feel safe knowing that she won’t get wet (she doesn’t like it).

Great Product
I hedged on this sheet or another, and decided to go with this one because it was a wug and the way it closes in the front. Its a beautiful plaid that looks awesome my dappled OTTB. It was true to it's sizing and could not be happier.

Excellent coverage for rainy weather!
Needing an additional waterproof turnout sheet without insulation for my horse, I saw this one on sale and decided to order it. I'm very satisfied with the quality, style, pretty plaid color, how it fits my large quarter horse and keeps him dry in our wet & sometimes snowy pacific northwest weather.
His other blankets/turnouts are Rambos with the regular neck, and he is a perfect size 78 in them. However, with the high neck on the Rhino and because my horse has beefy shoulders and hindquarters I decided to buy him a size 81. It fits perfectly and very adequately covers him without binding anywhere. When the weather is colder, he wears an Amigo stable blanket as a liner under the waterproof Rhino turnout and he's cozy warm.
So far it has held up well!

Great product!
This is at least my 5th Rhino sheet/blanket. I’m not sure because I over the past 10 years, as my kids have moved from ponies to horses, I’ve moved through a variety of brands of sheets and blankets. In the beginning of this journey, I hesitated to spend this much on a turnout. But as time went on, I realized they were worth every penny. We have a reasonably large property with some wooded sections that contain brambles and those nasty, thorny pear trees. The Rhinos have all lasted at least 2 years for me. They maintain their waterproofness, stay on straight, and have fit a large number of horses with a minimum of rubs. I almost always buy a high neck because I am concerned about pressure and sore withers from a regular neck. The high neck also helps keep rain from entering the neck hole and soaking their front end. Theirs is awesome. I find some of the high necks rub the mane just a little. These are designed so this effect is minimal and I get the warmth and protection of rain seepage I want. Oh, and my horses are mostly out 24/7. There are only 2 negatives for me. 1. That annoying manure/urine-catching strap! I do wish they’d sew an extra d-ring on each side so leg straps could be used instead of the tail strap. I did actually do it myself on one blanket, but it was quite the pain. I have become accustomed to them, and they’re obviously not a deal breaker. 2. More colors, please! I absolutely love this latest one I bought - a sort of blue plaid (was it specially designed for Smartpak? Maybe since it says Smartpak on the sheet). We keep our horses at home, so my staff is me and the kiddos. There are numerous situations when it’s nice to be able to identify whose blanket/sheet this is just by the color or pattern. When you’ve run out and removed several sheets in the middle of the day, coming back to the barn with a jumble of the same color, isn’t fun! It does help that they seem to have a new color/pattern each year. I don’t think I’ve ever had a horse come in with a shredded rhino. And this one was bought to replace a sheet that was 2 years old. And THAT one is actually still being used on an older, retired guy, whose other brand that didn’t have a high neck did get a huge rip from something. I just saw a great deal on an end-of season rug and snapped it up. This is definitely my go-to brand and style of turn out.

Awesome turnouts, worth every penny!
Love these turnouts! Have 6 of them, and I don't worry about the horses staying dry and warm on those nasty 40 degree cold, windy and rainy days! The fit is unbeatable, especially for the active horse, and easy to put on with the front snaps and tail loop features... definitely recommend. Be sure to measure accurately as there is not a lot of room for adjustment.

Great fit
Got this as the sale was awesome and the threat of winter was great, boy am I glad i picked one up! Love the high neck feature, perfect for cold, snowy nights. Great fit on a TB mare. Doesn't seem super durable, don't know how it would stand up to wear and tear of troublemakers but perfect for a couple of low key pasture mates or solo turnout.

strong material,neck stays upright! perfect length
m as I now have the 380 gram . The front has a v - shape that does not cause rubs on his chest area . The material is thick ,waterproof and so cozy . It can stand up to our harsh Michigan weather. Best blanket I've ever owned
I got this blanket last winter for my 30 year old OTTB with Cushings. He's always been hard to keep weight on so I wanted to get him a nice heavy blanket for the winter so he didn't burn off extra calories. I got it towards the end of the winter last year, but it's already gotten plenty of use this winter. We've had multiple days of negative temps with wind chills. He lives in an in/out so I've been concerned about him in this weather. I go down and check on him twice a day and he's always been nice and warm under the blanket. It has also kept him dry when there has been rain/snow. My horses paddock mate has had two blankets on and still hasn't been as warm as my guy in just this one. I am so happy about this purchase and I will definitely tell all of my friends about it's superior quality. Thank you so much for keeping my old man nice and snug in this awful weather.

Awesome Turnout - snug as a bug in a rug!
Purchased this turnout on a whim for a new horse and so glad I did! Love the color and fit of this rug and the high neck really keeps my boy snuggly warm!
