Great quality and perfect size
I’ve tried numerous brands of fly masks with the nose cover and this is hands down the best. Enough to keep the nose from burning, but not so long it drapes like the other ones.

Great Mask!
I bought 2 of these masks about 1 month ago. The COB size fit my 16.2 hand quarter-horse perfectly. The size measurements that are provided by SmartPAK are perfect & accordingly the mask fits great. The LARGE PONY size fit my friends 15.2 hand quarter-horse perfectly - this horse does NOT like a nose cover so it was so great that the nose cover was EASILY removed! These 2 horses are like Houdini because they can remove their masks in a second when 'no one is looking'!! These masks STAY ON BEAUTIFULLY!
The masks run large if you compare to non-Rambo masks BUT if you purchase according to the measurements provided for the Rambo Plus Flymask you can chose the correct size....this is why I chose "Fits Just Right" based on measurements. There were a few comments about this mask having a reinforced band that blocks their horses' vision -- for both of these horses this is NOT the case. The one horse is a bit blind in one eye & he is absolutely fine with this mask. Both of these horses took immediately to the Rambo Plus Masks like they had been wearing them every day!!

Disappointed
I'm not sure when it happened, but the quality in these masks dropped terribly. I use this style for my blind horse to protect her eyes. I used to use 1 mask a year, now I'm going through them ever other month. This last mask I ordered fell apart after 1 month. Unbelievable! For the price, they are so cheap. For years I've found this style for helpful. What a disappointment.

Fly mask that fits a draft cross and stays on!
I bought this fly mask after seeing a comment on a draft horse community page on social media regarding fly masks. Multiple people commented about the Rambo face mask. Some gave reasons and one just simply said "Rambo fly mask." After trying it on my lease horse, I completely understand now. The quality is excellent and this mask in the horse size not only fit the draft cross I put it on, it stayed on through a week of off and on rainstorms. The ear covers were slightly large on the ears of my lease horse but I preferred that they were slightly large than too tight. At first when this came in the mail, I thought it would be way too big on my lease horse - but the mask itself fits just right. Any smaller and it would not have closed. And even with the small part that did close, it stayed on, as I mentioned before, for a week and through inclement weather. My lease horse does not require the nose piece, but I like having that option in case he does someday.

I love this fly mask, My horse does too, It stays off her eyes, I removed the nose cover as she doesn't like it. Definitely want to order another one so I can get it monogramed.

Must have for my bald faced chestnut
Being that we live in Florida and that my bald faced chestnut lives outside year round…I wanted to make sure she had the most comfortable yet breathable flymask possible.
I have honestly never spent over $20 on a flymask before. Yet given her fully white face and pink nose I figured I shouldn’t cheap out.
Thankfully it’s been a great purchase. The cob fits her great (she’s 15.2-15.3 and petite). I was nervous it wouldn’t cover her entire nose yet it does comfortably.. I have never had it come off and it washes wonderfully.
I am buying another as backup as I do like to wash it weekly. The nose does come off for easy cleaning or use without. Yet having a backup to just take one home while she’s protected with the other is worth it. Never thought I’d be spending what I do in flymask. Yet truly…I’m happy to do so as this is definitely a high quality and long lasting flymask.

This seemed like a great mask and was recommended by my vet for my mare with uveitis. It didn't hold up well at all. As you can see in the picture it ripped above the stays. Don't waste your money.

Great for eye issues
My pony gets eye ulcers because of an auto-immune issue. This fly mask keeps the mask away from her eye and also discourages her from rubbing it. She seems to find it comfortable. It has super big ears, which is only an aesthetic issue. And Smart Pak has a better price than just about any other place!

Always a go-to flymask
This is the second Rambo mask I’ve bought. The first one was for my prior horse who had a huge head. I felt the reviews saying it ran large meant a horse sized would fit him but he really needed and in between. He sometimes got it off and the ears were so long and bothersome that I cut them out. Now, my current horse, he is a paint with a petite head. Horse bridles on the smallest setting and many cob sized items as well fit him. I chose cob sized for his mask. I smug it up and it fits him well. The nose price is removable but works well with his face so we leave it on. I still dislike the long ears and so does he but he’s been unable to dislodge this one and that’s the only mask he’s not shredded or removed. This thing is staying! Plus, it’s been a couple of weeks and no rubbing or hair removing for him. The mesh is thicker than what he’s used to so it’s a bit more difficult to see but he has an open field with little obstruction so works well. If he had a more challenging landscape, I would hesitate using it. As always, when it rains, visibility is decreased a lot so remember to take them off before it rains.

Best fly mask for uveitis/eye problems!
My appaloosa has chronic uveitis and needs to wear a fly mask at all times. Her eyes have actually been damaged by normal masks when she rolls and rubs her face. I was so happy to find a mask that would stay away from her eyes and would be comfortable enough to be worn 365 days a year. She’s on her third Rambo mask now and we are so happy with the quality and design. I can tell this mask is more comfortable than the standard kind as she never tries rubbing it off. These masks typically last her between 1 1/2-2 years before I replace them- and that’s with being worn every day! I customized her mask and it was so beautifully done. The mask does make your horse look a bit like an alien or maybe a beekeeper...but a very cute one! My mare is usually a cob size and this fits true to size.

yr round usage for eye issues
I bought these last summer per vet to find something for my older going blind gelding and light senative eye mare - seemed to get eye strain. The vet wanted something off eye lashes and of either silver or cream mesh. I now use these said mask yr round for both horses ...winter reflection on snow and bright sunny days year round....what a different supper great

Great for horses with eye issues
My mostly blind thoroughbred (with multiple on going eye issues) lives in this mask 24/7 and it holds up very well. The design is great for making sure he won't bump his eyes off of things and he never gets it off. He's 15 hands and the cob fits him perfectly.

Very pleased with this item. Keeps the flies away. Also prevented her rubbing her sore eye, she may have scraped her cornea when she rubbed her face while wearing another fly mask.

Exceptional staying power with field halter
Bought this to try to keep the irritation fly masks can cause eyes to a minimum. I know I play a lot of hide and go find my fly mask with my horse so I paired this with a field halter and hoped. It’s done so well! I’m very pleased. He has absolutely tried to get it off but he has failed. Bonus points because he hasn’t been able to rip it (yet) and it’s still completely intact. The horse however, is not amused

I mean HUGE … looks like it belongs on a bee keepers head … but it DOES stand out off of his eyes, that was the feature I was looking for, been saying for YEARS they needed to make one that stand off the eyes.

Best fly mask I’ve ever purchased
This is the best fly mask I’ve ever had. I have it for both of my horses. One of my horses especially would yank his mask off regularly, With this mask it doesn’t move all day. Also I think the coverage is great no flies are getting in at all. And it’s not making wear marks on their face because it’s tented away from their face

Durability?
Got this less than a month ago and thought it was great... until it ripped at the seam. My gelding is very gentle on clothing so this was a surprise. Fortunately smartpak is sending me a new one - hopefully this one holds up better

Great eye protection...runs large
I bought this for my horse who has HICKs in both her eyes. Her left eye is virtually blind, so she needs this kind of protection. She is a 16.3 hand Hanoverian, but the horse size in this is HUGE! She hates it and tries to remove it at every opportunity. We are still working to resolve this problem. I wish it came with options to not cover the ears, but overall, it is a quality flymask.

Comfortable Fit!
I purchased this fly mask for my 15 year old warmblood mare. I placed it on her and really liked the fit. Our Rocky Mountain gelding ended up waring it as his eyes are more sensitive to dust and flies. It stays on in the nature which is a big plus!

Horse Size Too Small
I really love the design of this fly mask, but if you have a horse that generally wears oversize, the horse size will not fit. I wish Horseware would make an oversize version, or sell velcro extenders to make this work for wider noses.

Eye protection
I buy these on repeat. They were the only fly mask with high enough uv protection on a budget. When my horse kept getting ulcers, this fly mask protected him through inflammation & surgery because of the band the sticks out. The only downside to this is no hole for his forelock! I wish they could add that feature.

Great Eye Protection
I bought one of these masks last year for my older gelding who suddenly went blind in one eye and has had a very hard time adjusting. The eye gaurds keep him from bumping into things and it has enough UV protection for him outside in the summer. Very durable, he lives outside 24/7 and always has his mask on- a whole year on him everyday and its only just starting to get some wear.

Protects eyes like none other!
These are the best, you get over the look when you realize your horse's eye really are protected. Only cmplaint would be better adjustability in the chin area to enable it to fit a it snugger is your guy/gal has a fine bose.
