Protects eyes like none other!
These are the best, you get over the look when you realize your horse's eye really are protected. Only cmplaint would be better adjustability in the chin area to enable it to fit a it snugger is your guy/gal has a fine bose.

REALLY BIG
This mask is really BIG. Even without the extra nose piece it touches the top of my "average" quarter horses nostrils. The throat latch at its tightest still allows you to stick your whole fist in the mask. I had to add another loop to make it fit tight enough for her not to just shake it off.

Does the job and stays shaped
I bought this in May and here we are in September -- it's held up to daily turnout use with buddies who like to play halter tag. Fits a big but slim TB face, and ear mesh keeps the gnats out. It's still shaped well and not falling into his eyes. Love it!

Nice Fly Mask But...
Nicely made mask, but my horse has it off within 2 hours, I put it back on and the same. Many reviews said it runs large, so I first got the Cob size and could not close the Velcro straps. Ordered a Horse size, fit is good but my gelding rubs it right off against his leg. Tried tightening it furthered with a few stitched darts near the ears as there is a gap but it comes right off. I have an old Absorbine ultra shield that stays on but it's falling apart and the newer model doesn't have enough space around the eyes. I really wanted this mask to work but it is joining the pile of failures. Going to try a Shires next.

Nice for the eyes
The nose extension was too long and my horse has a normal to long face. I customized the nose portion to my horse using regular scissors and sewing machine and I made a fringe out of the mesh and put in contours to provide maximal coverage but improve aeration at the nostrils. I also had to move the velcro keepers over to give more room for my horses head. Once I made those adjustments, which were easy to do, the fit and function have been great Oh, I do suggest one other thing: I think there should be an opening for the forelocks to be pulled through and allowed to be outside of the mask I have not configured that yet myself but I am thinking about it. Sorry I did not think of getting a photo but I think my nose extension adaptations turned out pretty cool, if I may say so myself.

Nearly there...
I bought this last year for my mare who hates fly masks but really needs them to protect her white face/pink skin. This mask was the only one that stayed on for longer than a few days, but she still manages to get it off when she tries hard enough. We haven't lost it yet - all undressing has occurred at night in her stall, but I'm just waiting for the day when she comes in from outside without it. It's not inexpensive, especially compared to other masks that my other horse keeps on, so this has caused me to feel a sense of dread everyday when I wonder if she will still have it. Overall, it is nice quality and has held up with my mare's aggressive undressing, and the way it gives plenty of eye clearance is great, too.

Finally!
I bought one of these last year for my mare that likes to rub her masks off (both losing the mask and giving her eye problems!). This is excellent because it doesn't bother her eyes and the double attachment keeps her from rubbing it off. The removable nose piece is genius. I love it so much I bought one for my other horse. Sizing is super important, so make sure you measure first.

This is the best fly mask I have ever owned. God knows I have tried many ! Keeps its shape. The only thing I would change is there is no hole for the forelock. But , there is plenty of room for it with the eye guard. Love the detachable nose piece for my boys with pink noses.

Good idea, bad execution
I liked the idea of keeping the fly mask away from my horse's face so there was more air flow under the mask and the front of the mask did just that. Unfortunately the design at the back of the mask makes it un-useable. The velcro straps are way too short and the stitching to secure the velcro left a very rough patch next to my horse's cheek which I'm sure would have left a raw patch had I left the mask on. Sadly, I can't return because I had it monogrammed. Ugh.

SD Fly Mast
I bought this specific fly mask because my horse had an issue with his one eye and it needed to be covered and protected. I really like that the shape of the mask puts it away from the eye, so chances of it rubbing on his eye were slim.

Great fitting, functional fly mask
We have a lot of these fly masks in use on our farm. I like them because the design keeps the mask from hitting the horse's eyes/eye lashes, making the horse more comfortable and less likely to try to take it off. Like any fly mask, they will rip and take a beating, but for overall functionality and comfort for our horses, this is my pick. I will say that that seem to run a bit large, meaning we have a 16.2 TB wearing a pony size, most of our warmbloods wear a cob size, and only the ones that wear oversize bridles actually wear the normal horse size.

Best Fly Mask Ever!
I bought this a month ago for a horse who seems to get watery, red eyes from pollen and dust. This mask keeps itself and irritants far away from his eyes. He is no longer experiencing eye problems since starting to wear this mask.

Nice mask but difficult sizing
Having read all the reviews, I didn't worry that the horse-sized (the largest) mask would be too small for my guy who wears a an extra full or warmblood sized bridle. Well, I should have worried. I can barely get the throatlatch strap to close. The second strap (closest to the nose) doesn't come anywhere near to closing. Such a disappointment. I really want this mask to work because of the great design so am buying 2" black elastic to lengthen the straps myself. My $40 mask is now a $50 mask.

Didn't work for my Welsh pony
My Welsh pony has been having a lot of fly-related eye issues this summer, so I bought this to try and keep the flies (and gnats) from getting to her eye through her regular mask. I bought the small pony size based on other reviews, even though she should wear a large pony size (and sometimes even wears cob size, depending on the product).
Based on the length of the straps, I think the small pony size was probably necessary (it was hard to close it enough to avoid gaps, so I assume a larger soze would be even worse). However, the small size made the mask sit in a strange spot on her face, where one of the seams rested right on her cheekbone. Probably wouldn't have been an issue, but its the thick seam where the corner of the nose piece velcros into the mask, and it was apparently bulky enough for her to rub a raw spot into her cheek.
I want to try the next size up, but the flies here are insane and I can't have a fly mask with gaps at the throat and/or nose :-/

Nice quality, runs about 1 or 2 sizes too large
I love the mask and so does my horse Jack. However it is very large, even on his abnormally large head for a 15.2hh mustang. I'm very happy with the product itself, even though it is very big. I put it on him thinking it might still work and he did keep it on for the few hours he that he wore it. I'm hoping to return it for the right size. Updates to come. :)

Well made
I purchased a horse size for my Thoroughbred gelding who has a large jaw. The horse size was too large. Had to reorder in a Cob size. Don't know if it was mismarked. Tag inside read "horse". Love how it fits away from the eyes. The pointed ears add character to my already silly horse.

Great Mask - Squirrely Sizing
The mask is wonderful. The brace keeps the mask off my horse's eyes and he doesn't mind wearing it. I also like the nose piece since his nose is white.
The sizing is extremely strange. My horse wears a Horse size bridle, but I ended up with a Pony size in the Mask. The Horse size was so big, I'm not sure what species of animal it would fit. Maybe one of the Clydesdales...

My girl loves this!
My senior mare is a magnet for insects and the cashel she was wearing was close enough to her face that flies were still chewing her through the mask. When I got her this she was immediately happy and wouldn't even let me take it off to try on her son. :) Normally she hates the nose pieces but this one doesn't cover her nostrils so she is happy. Plus, she looks super cute in the purple. They do run big, so she got a cob size and normally wears a horse size in other brands.

Fits my needs
I like this fly mask's features. Well clear of eyes, shades the nose, fastens easily.
Bought a Horse size. My guy usually wears a Warmblood/Extra large horse in his normal fly mask. This fits perfectly, so probably best to fo down a size.

Worked on the fly mask hating horse
I’ve tried 8 different types and styles of fly masks and my horse has successfully pulled them all off within a couple of minutes (no matter how tight they are). I finally broke down and spent the money on this fly mask and to my surprise it stayed on. It does look funny but it helps with the bugs.
Other reviewers said it ran big so I bought a cob size for my 15.3hh thoroughbred. I found the the throat and chin latch were to short but the rest of the mask was proportionate. I exchanged it with a horse size and now it’s a bit to big but I kept it anyways and it stayed on. The fly mask would have received 5 stars if they made something in between and it wasn’t so expensive.

So much better than Cashel
The cashel fly masks are not as soft, they don’t last as long and the nose flap is toooo long.
This Rambo has so much more care And attention to comfort, it holds the mask off the horse’s face, it’s made of much stronger material.
It really is a superior product our horse shredded his Cashel in a few weeks. Let’s see how this one holds up!

Doesn't Rub! My mare keeps it on!
I've had this mask about a month and my mare has been in 24/7 turn out most of that time ( I take it off at night) and she's only removed the mask once. She typically removes masks daily so this is great, and with how big it is, it was easy to find in the field. I got this as my mare only has 1 eye (other surgically removed due to infection) and other masks seem to lay too close to her face now, she had been rubbing her masks and removing hair around her existing eye. Not the case at all with this mask, it's far away from her face and even when she occasionally runs through the trees it stays pushed out. She even tolerates the ears! These do run big I had to remove the nose peice as it was covering her nostrils causing non stop snorting until removed but this covers her face so much that not much of her nose is not covered. She's 14.3, about 900+ pound QH and I got the cob size.

Weird sizing
I bought the mask to keep it off my horses eyes. Great design but it’s very long on the ears. The nose is very long but I find it gets very dirty fast since it fully covers my horses nostrils. I also have a horse who is a cob for halters and bridles and I got the cob fly mask and as tight as it goes ita kinda lose. My horse can also get this thing off her head with in 5 mins of turn out

Protects eyes!
After observing the durability of the mask on other barn horses for a couple years, I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did as the mask protects the eyes excellently, the stiff band keeping the netting well away from the eyes. The ears are large but I would rather have them too large than small for my quarter horse (14.3 hands). I ordered a cob size. The nose piece is too long but easy to remove with the Velcro fasteners. I don't need the nose piece as my horse's face is black so gave it to a friend who has a grey horse. I've only had it a couple weeks but think this is the mask I'll always use. I've based my ratings on this short time usage.
