Comfy, functional, and SUPER stylish!
I could not be more obsessed with these Piper Stretch Denim Breeches! Not only do I think they are super comfortable and cute, but everyone else seems to think it as well! I am constantly getting compliments on these breeches or questions about where I got them, etc. While I do love a traditional breech, I also enjoy switching up my outfit or sometimes want a more durable jean-like pant for a trail ride or work around the barn. These breeches do that for me. But the best part about these to me is that they are stretchier and more functional than a normal jean that can sometimes feel stiff and restrictive. In terms of fit, I am 5’10” and own a regular length, which is not necessarily too short on me. That said, a tall would probably fit me a bit better length wise. The regular hits me about a few inches above my ankle.

Very cute, maybe not sturdy
I bought these a while ago during a sale, and finally rode in them today. I love the shape - super flattering and comfortable. I like that they have belt buckle loops, as a lot of the jegging style riding pants slide down.
Unfortunately the knee patch has major fraying after only one ride. If I'd paid less $ I wouldn't be annoyed - I'd just fix it myself and move on, but at this price I would expect a bit better. I haven't even washed them yet 😩 otherwise I love them and was going to order a second pair.

I absolutely love those breeches. They have good amount of stretch which makes them comfortable, fabric is very light, which I do like for riding in summer, and back pockets are big enough to hold the phone. The only complain - I wish they did have proper cell phone pocket on the tight.

Best Denim Breeches!
I am a western rider. I have been searching for a while for a good pair of denim breeches. When I ride in jeans, they always seem to ride up my leg. When riding in these breeches, they stay put! A big plus is that they are a western designed denim breech. They have an elastic bottom that keeps them in place when riding. They have great pockets, front and back just like jeans. Piper Stretch Denim Breeches by SmartPak- Knee Patch has stylish contrasting synthetic suede knee patches and nice wide belt loops. The belt loops are wide enough that I can wear my western belts. They are made out of a lighter material than typical jeans and are nice and stretchy for riding. I am so impressed with these breeches! They are by far the comfiest breeches I have ever tried on! I machine wash, hang to dry, and they look brand new! I just ordered a second pair!

Didn't work for my body shape
Other reviews of these jean breeches were correct in stating that the material is very thin and stretchy, which is positive. However, they still don't really accommodate an hourglass type figure. I have thick thighs and a small waist, and these breeches in my size still gapped at the waistband and were very unflattering in the thigh. The material is so thin that it pulled into wrinkles, making my legs look like they were in sausage casing. I'm going to exchange these for a denim breech that has more structure. I can't really fairly rate the durability, but they were so thin they seemed like they weren't going to last very long.

AMAZING UPDATE TO THE OLDER DENIM PIPERS!!!
I can't say enough about these, the fabric is lightweight for summer and the stretch is on point! I was able to fit in the older ones but it was a wiggle struggle to get them on, and always felt them pinching at the knees once I was on. I am fuller figured and these fit so well! Thank you SmartPak! Amazing denim breeches and I love the tan patches. :-)

THE HOLY GRAIL HAS BEEN FOUND
Ordered Friday, received yesterday, just finished riding in them this morning before work. They are THE HOLY GRAIL of jean breeches!
-VERY stretchy like you know, normal $20 leggings.
-Knee patches are not too bulky
-FRONT and back pocket that work, back pockets can fit my phone!!
-Perfect rise, not too high or low.
-Flattering, perfect color.
-NOT $100 + for a pair of glorified riding jeggings.
Buy them now because these suckers are going to be sold out long term. My only wish is that they would make a silicone extended knee patch version, but hey, a girl can dream! GREAT job with this Smartpak!
For reference: I'm 5'8, a size 12/14, got my normal 34R in these, snug but stretchy. In the pictures I' wearing an XL kerrits vest and XXL Equine couture shirt.

Awesome Breeches!
I've been looking for denim knee patch breeches for a long time. These were on sale so I took a chance and ordered them since Smartpak has an easy returns policy. I'm so pleased and ended up ordering two more pairs. They fit just like the Piper knit breeches, so I ordered size I typically wear in Pipers. They're very stretchy and very flattering. The description doesn't include the fabric content, so here it is from the label: 60% cotton, 24% polyester, 6% spandex. The fabric is a bit thin so these are three season breeches. They will probably be especially great for warm weather with the high cotton content. The only thing I would change - I wish the knee patches were blue like the full-seat instead of tan. Smartpak has a winner with these breeches!
