Pleasantly surprised
I scooped this coat up on clearance and figured, for the price, why not give it a shot? Fits great, love the stretch, I only wish it was cut a tad bit longer, otherwise a very nice show coat that looks just as nice as some of the more expensive brands

Great coat and great price!
I bought this coat for eventing and it was worth every penny. Super soft, breathable and stretchy fabric makes it comfortable to show in any weather. The zipper closure inside makes it very convenient when in a rush. Great price made it all worth it. I now own two of them to swap. Also, I wash mine in the washing machine and it comes out as good as new. Would buy another if one ever needs to be replaced.

Great entry level dressage coat
Bought 2 coats in size 10 and 12 on sale for a price you can't beat . It's a great value for those needing to budget to start showing. The jacket dose run larger..go down a size.and the sleeves on the 12 were longer then needed for how the sleeve is expected to look when in riding position. But for the sales price if all else is a go ...take up the excess. The zippers are a great feature for a neat and slim look. Over all this is a neat , no frills, presentable jacket.

Great Coat!
Great coat, especially for the price! To be honest, I had bought a Kerrits coat on clearance from another site with the white piping that I LOVED, but unfortunately it was too big, and with a show coming up quickly I didn't have enough time to have it taken in. So, I took a chance on this coat. It may not have the same snazzy piping, but honestly the two coats are of very similar quality, and you can't beat this price!
As usual, SmartPak delivered. After reading reviews and looking at the size chart, I was able to get a coat that fit perfectly, and am so glad I had this to show in this past weekend. Comfortable, albeit a little warm in 100 degree temps....I can't imagine how we ever survived without these amazing soft shell coats!

Love the zipper under the buttons
I recently started dressage and have been wearing my navy hunt coat but kept my eye out for a black four-button jacket at a low price. And a plus size. I noticed this one on sale and in my plus size so did not want to pass it up. I am apple shaped but this coat is okay for me - somewhat fitted at the waist but not too much for my shape. I love the zipper under the buttons and the stretch of the fabric. I prefer more traditional fabrics with some substance, but was pleasantly surprised that this fabric has enough body to lay nicely and not cling. I have not worn it for a competition yet so can't comment on durability.

Lovely Jacket
I purchased this jacket because of the great price. I'm very impressed with it. I used the fit chart. I was a little worried about ordering a 12 since I'm big shouldered and chested. But it fits beautifully in the body! Sleeves are a bit long. I need to roll the cuff once to get it to fit so not a big problem. I love the zipper closure so no puckering. Looks like it will wash easily.

I love this jacket. The material is very comfy and the fit long enough in the arms and without pulling across the chest. Even though it's somewhat stretchy, the material lays nicely without puckering. Can't wait to ride in it!

Great fabric for stretch, issue with button area
This coat is a great stretchy material. I was hoping it was more breathable and wrinkle resistant, which it is neither, but at least it’s overall comfortable. The only real issue is that the flap where the buttons are, stick out instead of laying flat, when buttoned. I believe this is caused by the flap that buttons, not being quite long enough to actually reach the buttons, without stretching it, and therefore it sticks outward from tension when buttoned. The flap is 1/4-1/2” too short to reach the buttons without stretching the flap to do so! It’s unflattering to have the front of your jacket sticking straight out, and defeats the purpose of the zipper, but I got it on sale for $45, so I guess it wasn’t going to be perfect. I am desperate for an affordable black jacket and need it for right now, otherwise I would return it. I bought two sizes and despite the bigger size being way too big on me, it still pulls and sticks outward when buttoned, proving it’s a design/manufacturing issue rather that fit. It’s a fine coat for the $45 I spent, but it would be better if it didn’t have this one issue!

Tall Girls-Take Note
I have tried on every brand and almost every model of show coat this season and was a breath away from ordering custom when I tried this jacket. It is amazing in quality and styling. Can't vouch for washability or durability yet BUT I am ordering a second as a back up.

Very nice coat for the price
I bought this coat some time ago and have worn it for a couple of shows now. The coat moves with you when you ride because of the stretch fabric and is not too hot to wear in the South's summer heat. The fabric looks and feels like a coat way above the price range.

WOW! Great coat, great price.
I was super impressed with this coat. The coat looks a lot more expensive than what I paid for it. The material looks durable and isn't super thin, even though the coat itself is pretty light and airy. I'm most impressed with the design. There is a zipper behind the buttons that only zips from about 1/4 of the way up to 3/4 of the way up, so it's like a half zipper that you then pull the buttons over (snap buttons). This makes is seem like a much better fit... no gapping like in regular buttons. Very impressed! Can't wait to wear this to our first dressage outing!
The only con with this jacket is the sleeve length. It doesn't seem proportionate to the actual jacket length... the sleeves are a bit long and I might get them shortened.

Ordered size based on measurements and it fit perfectly. The light, stretchy fabric is comfortable and breathes well in warm weather. Zipper front helps the jacket hang cleanly. Haven't had it long enough to comment on durability.

New Favorite!
This coat is lightweight but not so thin that you can see every imperfection. Yet its still soft and stretchy. Perfect for us who are no longer teenagers. I purchased during a sale for around $65 which is a bargain price. I am 5'7", most of my height in my torso, and typically wear a size 6L or 8L in RJ Classics and a size 6 in this coat fits very well. I love the hidden zipper to create a smooth appearance. Well done Smartpak!

I ordered this coat size after trying on the smaller size at a horse show. Prompt delivery, but the sleeves are incredibly long, and the seam in each sleeve puckers. I will need to have a seamstress work on it if I keep it

Nice coat for under $100
I can’t say enough good things about this coat! This coat fits beautifully everywhere like it was made for me! I love the zipper and snap front no gaps! (Which I typically run into bc I’m large chested). The stretch of the material gave freedom of motion throughout my courses. And you can’t beat the price.

Great Fit!
Much to my delight this Piper jacket fits like a glove! I usually have trouble finding a coat that works with my size 2 (sleeves too short, shoulders too big) but this one is just right. Quite the bargain. Haven't had it long, but I expect it to wear well.

Love it!
This jacket exceeded my expectations… It’s soft stretchy and looks just as nice as the jackets that are out of my budget. At 5 feet tall and about 125 pounds I was worried because I also have a larger chest 34DD, so I went with the size 8. And it fit perfect... the zipper made all the difference, giving me a neat slimming appearance :) Worth every penny!

Definitely does not fit plus size
So, so bummed about this jacket. I’ve been wanting to show but can’t find a hunt coat that fits me....and that is the only reason I don’t show. I was over the moon when I saw they carried my size, but when it arrived I couldn’t even get both arms in it was so small! Every “street jacket” I own is an 18, but the piper show coat size 18 for me like a 12! Even if I could get it on I bet it would smash my DD boobs up to my chin, haha! The coat is not great quality, but for the price I don’t mind it...heck I’d take anything at this point. I just really, really wish it fit. I felt like Chris Farley trying to put it on....so if you’re a plus size rider, keep looking (I know.....there’s nothing, sigh.)

Very nice coat
I just received my coat today. I haven't had a chance to ride in it yet but it's very comfortable and has a flattering fit. I'm a very tall plus-sized rider and it fits much better than most other coats I've tried. It runs true to size.
I can't speak to the durability, but if it's anything like Piper breeches, it will last if properly cared for. The fabric feels strong, but light enough not to smother during a summer show.

Very Nice
I have little interest in showing and if I do, it might be once a year so I wasn't going to spend a lot on a good coat. I bought this one on a flash sale for under $80. Money well spent! This is a surprisingly nice coat. It's nicely tailored, very stretchy, and the fabric seems lightweight but not so light that it doesn't hold its shape. I have a long waist and age has added some spread so a lot of very fitted coats don't work. I was surprised that this one fits as well as it does. It's quite plain and I imagine embellishments could be added without much trouble but I figure a judge isn't going to be scoring me on a plain black coat in my once a year outing. Very pleased.

Awesome Coat
I got this coat as a gift and love it. It's soft, tailored and very elegant. It has a modern look to it but still has the classic edge. I LOVE the snap buttons and concealed zipper in the front. This jacket is very form flattering, I'm a small person and it fit perfect. I also loved that it came with its own garment bag, that was a nice touch that kept it unwrinkled. Overall great product!

Well Worth the Cost
I bought this for my first IHSA show and I love it. Fits very true to size, though is a bit boxy for a softshell coat, maybe due to the 4 buttons (versus three). Great material, quality hardware. My friend tried it on and immediately went to buy her own! I would say you could size down if you prefer a tighter fit. I'm usually a true 4 and sometimes a 6. I bought the 4 and love it but I likely could have fit a 2 if I wanted a very tight fit.

Great Show Coat
I was skeptical about buying a show coat online because I am generally pretty hard to fit (broad shoulders, large chest, TINY waist... not exactly ideal for show coats). I tried on several coats at a local tack shop and they just did not fit right. After looking on smartpack I settled for trying their Piper show coat. It came in quicker than I expected and I LOVE it. I ordered a size 4 and I have a 32 D (sometimes DD) chest and size 0-2 waist depending on brand. This coat fits over my shoulders and is tapered in at my waist enough to look fitted but not super snug. I love the material, soft and comfortable and breathable. I am very happy with this purchase and will likely buy again!
