This top is made with SmartCore™ fabric, which has UPF 50 sun protection, outstanding moisture-wicking properties, and helps regulate your temperature without the need for any added chemicals. What does all of that mean for you? That you’ll be cool, dry, and protected and that you’ll have peace of mind that you’re not exposing yourself to added chemicals. Love the shirt but the mesh has not worn well.
I love the fit and comfort of this shirt so much I bought 2 in Lake blue, they were great for a while. Unfortunately while the body of the shirts still look like new the mesh on the underarms of both shirts has lost it's color after repeated wear and washings. It looks two toned now, great for schooling at home but not for lessons or clinics anymore.

The Light Rose / Pink was too Sheer
Kept the "Light Poppy", returned the light pink-- it was super sheer. Could see my light pink bra underneath. It seemed more matte/opaque in the photos. The darker shades will probably be fine. Comfy fit -- I'm typically an 8 / Medium in tops and ordered a medium. The waist seemed a bit more fitted than in my last Piper sunshirts, but perhaps they just need to be worn-in...

Nice shirt, runs large!
I bought this a week ago, on sale in brown quartz, a great color. BUT it runs large and is boxy. I have several other Piper and Hadley shirts and the large is perfect, I have a 42” bust. For reference I wear a medium in Kerrits and a
large in Ariats. Had to return. :-(

Overall great shirt
I got the Amber shirt for Christmas and wanted that color specifically because the photo makes it look like a vibrant gold color. In person, the shirt is much darker and I was disappointed with the color.

My New Favorite Shirt!
I am the type of white that burns, peals, and only gets whiter so I live in sun shirts. Ariat's have been my favorites forever, but the Piper sun shirt was on sale so I thought why not. I LOVE this shirt! The fabric is soft, light, moisture wicking. I'm 5"11, 155 lbs., I have a long torso and super long arms. These sleeves are actually long enough! It could be a hair longer in the torso for my personal liking, but it isn't bad at all. It looks great on even in the tummy area and mine isn't flat. High quality look and feel without the high price tag!

Not good for customization
I got this customized during the 12 days Sale — it is horrible! The letters are not centered in the chest area and the last word goes over the seam and into my arm pit. Very disappointed with the lack of quality and money wasted.

Cool, Stylish...Hopefully Durable
This is a very nice looking shirt - I've gotten several compliments on it. It seems to be made well, but I am cautiously optimistic about durability since the fabric is very thin & there is mesh + additional seams. I've worn it a handful of times & wash it inside out & hang to dry and so far so good. It was a bit pricy for my budget, but I did purchase it on sale & am happy with the purchase.

Cool and comfy
I liked this navy striped top so much when it arrived that I immediately went back to order a second one! My size Med was sold out so I ordered a L. The fit is true to size, the fabric very soft cool and comfortable. The side Large looks oversized on me and is cute with a French tuck. Great value for a nice Sun shirt.

Great sun protection
I’ve been wearing UPF clothing for a long time out of necessity from melanoma & basal cell carcinoma. I’m a fan of Columbia & Coolibar LS shirts, so have a pretty high standard but bought it on clearance to try Smartcore out. I’m not
disappointed at all! I did choose a size up (who wants to see mini muffins, LoL)! The blue color was true to the website. The mesh panels are great and the seams are even. I can’t speak to longevity after only one wear, but will check the tag for wash instructions (every other UPF shirt I have says no fabric softener). I’m really happy for this lightweight addition to my “summer barn clothes.” It’s freaking hot this year!

Breathable, flattering, and comfortable!
I used to think sun shirts were overrated until I gave in and bought one. I now stalk my emails for coupons so I can buy more! I bought an xs, which fits true to size and the cut is flattering. I also love the bright colors and the option to match them to a saddle pad! Will definitely buy more of these when they go on sale!

I have this shirt in several colors and I wear them for everything: riding, hiking, sun protection at the beach, paddleboarding, anything outdoors in the hot sun! They're soft, loose, lightweight, and have saved me from slathering on gallons of sunblock. They have lasted me a couple of summers, and I'll keep on buying them. I'm 5'8", size 12-14, and the large fits perfectly.

Super Shirt!
I bought this thinking it would be perfect for spring and fall riding when its too cool for short but wasn't too thrilled with the mesh inserts along the undersides of the sleeves. It was my fault for not noticing that. The fabric was really nice and the horse print was super cute but I did end up returning it.

Fabulous Value!

Purchased two different Piper sunshirts on sale; this being one. Size L, fits very well. "Maybe" could have gotten a M. I would have loved to order another, but only M's available, and only in the same color I just got. Nice shirt. Posted a review on the other shirt, not so happy w/that one.

Magic shirts! I love them.
I have no idea how these shirts keep you cool and dry but they actually do! I wear them when it's humid and in the 80s and am totally fine. I get sweaty under my sports bra and breeches but my arms, back and core all covered by the shirt somehow stay dry, temp-regulated and sunburn free :). That said, I only order lighter colors which might help. I have 3 size smalls (shown in photo) and one size medium that's also comfy if you don't like tighter fits. The cut is good for my particular body shape. They hold up to washing well and you can't beat the price!
