This top is made with SmartCore™ fabric, which has UPF 50 sun protection, outstanding moisture-wicking properties, and helps regulate your temperature without the need for any added chemicals. What does all of that mean for you? That you’ll be cool, dry, and protected and that you’ll have peace of mind that you’re not exposing yourself to added chemicals. Plus, since the UPF 50+ protection, moisture-wicking, and thermoregulatory power of the fabric is built right in, it won’t come out in the wash. Additionally, underarm mesh vents and a 1/4 zip give you extra airflow when you need it and a stand-up collar gives you extra protection against the sun’s harsh rays. Amazing product!
I bought one of these two years ago and needed a new one. When I went onto SmartPak’s website, they had added fun new colors to this shirt! I love the moisture wicking feature, and I always feel cool when wearing this top even in extreme summer weather! It is a great long-sleeve top to have in the summer, especially if you sunburn easily like I do, but want to still stay cool. It also stays in great condition for a long time. I highly recommend this product! You will be glad you purchased it!

Lovely shirts
I have four of these now, in addition to other brands of sun shirts. These are by far my favorites. The fabric is soft and silky, the fit is exceptional, and the vents keep you cool The only downside is that the mesh does pill after a few washings. Best to keep them in a laundry bag and wash on delicate.

Love this shirt
I really like this shirt, it is loose enough to keep cool but not too loose to look baggy. The mesh vents on the underside of the arms is really great, it catches even the slightest of breezes and cools down my entire torso. I ordered yellow and of course the day I first wore it my horse decided to use me as a human napkin so I got to test how it washes. Very happy to say it washed great and looked brand new when I pulled it out of the wash.

Soft and comfortable but runs large
Very comfortable material but the shirt is overall just a tad large. The sleeves are slightly large and boxy. Im a large in every other sunshirt I own but definitely needed to size down to a medium in this one!

runs large, not nearly as nice as other sunshirts
I go this on clearance and was hoping it would measure up to my other-brand sunshirts (I have EIS, Romfh, Kastel).
I ordered the size I wear in the others, and it was significantly larger. In fact, the fit overall is kind of loose and baggy, but in a odd-fitting sort of way.
The fabric is okay, but the details aren't as nice as other brands--sleeves aren't cuffed as nicely, stitching isn't flattering, etc.
For an inexpensive Sunshirt, it's not bad. But I'll probably use it more as a base layer in spring/fall, and stick with other brands for wearing alone.

Solid sun shirt at a great price
This sun shirt is super soft and a great value. It would be a 5 star if the sleeves were a bit longer, less baggy, and had cuffs. I find them sliding up a bit and leaving some exposed wrist. The shirt has washed up well and not held dirt stains despite being a light color. I am typically a small in most street sized clothing and a medium in some of the smaller running equestrian brands and the small fit well.

Great Shirt for Summer Riding!
The material is so soft and stretchy so it is very comfortable to ride in. The colors are vibrant and very pretty. The mesh paneling keeps you cool and these shirts help prevent sunburn (being a redhead this is my favorite part). Being 5’4 and sizing up for added comfort riding the sleeves were a little long but nothing unmanageable! I will be buying more of these shirts!

With a little sewing, I got it
Pretty solid product for the price. I ordered a Large because I’m very busty, and I don’t like them skin tight. I gave this 3 stars, because without a cuff on the sleeve, it just hangs down to my fingertips. With a little sewing, I decreased the opening diameter, so the sleeve stops at the wrist.

SO soft and the sleeves are the right length
I have the Smartpak Sunshield shirt, the Ariat sunshield, and this one. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Piper is my absolute favorite. The material is beyond soft and the sleeves are long enough, unlike the Smartpak Sunshield which has sleeves that are way too short. I would say it runs true to size if you prefer a relaxed fit. If you want a fitted shirt, I would probably say to size down.
