This top is made with SmartCore™ fabric, which has UPF 50 sun protection, outstanding moisture-wicking properties, and helps regulate your temperature without the need for any added chemicals. What does all of that mean for you? That you’ll be cool, dry, and protected and that you’ll have peace of mind that you’re not exposing yourself to added chemicals. Plus, since the UPF 50+ protection, moisture-wicking, and thermoregulatory power of the fabric is built right in, it won’t come out in the wash. Additionally, underarm mesh vents and a 1/4 zip give you extra airflow when you need it and a stand-up collar gives you extra protection against the sun’s harsh rays. Of course, it also has plenty of stretch so that it moves with you whether you’re reaching for a jump, a bale of hay, your yoga mat, or your hiking boots. Comparable to TS shirt!
Loved this shirt, I have two )much more expensive) TS shirts with the “cooling” sun protection fabric and honestly this is basically the exact same thing! Rode in it for the first time yesterday for a clinic, it was a sticky humid day and this keep me comfortable and cool, will definitely be buying more!!!

Comfortable, Cool and Stylish
These shirts are a staple in my riding clothes. They are super lightweight and keep me cool. The material is comfortable and not scratchy like some other sun shirts are. Highly recommend. They are holding up great with use and washes, even the mesh.

Perfect sun shirt except for one thing
This sun shirt is very soft and comfortable compared to other higher priced brands that I've tried that were rough and scratchy. The only problem is, the mesh panels under the arms pill and look terrible only after a couple of wears. This would be the perfect sun shirt if only the mesh material were higher quality.

Keeps the sun and bugs off

Very comfortable and stylish!
Wore it yesterday for the first time and felt fairly comfortable even though it was pushing 95F (at 10am). My arms and neck didn't feel like they were baking in the sun, either. The 1/4 zip makes it easy to get some ventilation and also easy to put on/take off the shirt; the light mesh under the arms helps with cooling, too. I bought the blue striped shirt (hubby calls it my "Hamburglar" shirt) and I plan to buy a few more Piper sun shirts next year.

This shirt was true to size and had a nice fit. Love how cool the material and under arm venting is designed. one of my favorite shirts to wear on hotter days. For the price it definitely holds it's own with my other pricier sun shirts.

Nice shirt!
I got this because the ones the snaps are no longer available. It is fine.....but I really want the snaps back. I struggle with the zipper folding over around the neck.

Love these sun shirts
I love these sun shirts for summer in Hot and humid Georgia. I have recommended them to others. The fabric seems like it will last much longer than all the other sun shirts I have that get runs in them easily like panty hose. My only complaint keeping my rating from 5 stars; is the colors I have gotten are very different then the pics. The surf blue leans more to the green family then a blue and pink is different then pics too.

Comfortable, and cool!
I am not an equestrian, but I was referred by several horsey friends when I told them I was looking for a long-sleeved, sun-protecting, but not hot shirt (for trekking and marathons). I am so glad they referred me to SmartPak and this Piper shirt! I've worn it out during warm weather doing very aerobic activity, and I have to say, the mesh inserts along the undersides of the sleeves work great — they wick sweat away and keep me cool. And the fabric of the shirt is not sticky or hot, despite a pretty form-fitting design. I am extremely happy with the tidy, flattering appearance of the shirt (I bought both the lavender pattern and an aqua solid), in addition to the great performance. Would recommend to anyone, and will probably buy additional patterns and colors.

Awesome shirt
I now own 3 of these shirts, I love how light, comfortable and stretchy they are. They don't wrinkle like some other sun shirts, which is a plus. I get sun burnt easily and these protect my skin very well. I feel comfortable wearing these even in sweltering high temps since they breathe so well. These also work well for layering in winter, all around an awesome shirt.
