This top is made with SmartCore™ fabric, which has UPF 50 sun protection, outstanding moisture-wicking properties, and helps regulate your temperature without the need for any added chemicals. What does all of that mean for you? That you’ll be cool, dry, and protected and that you’ll have peace of mind that you’re not exposing yourself to added chemicals. Plus, since the UPF 50+ protection, moisture-wicking, and thermoregulatory power of the fabric is built right in, it won’t come out in the wash. Wanted to love this!
This is my second smartpak shirt and after an issue with the first one I figured it was a lemon but now same issue with the second... after 2 wears the sleeves are fraying and the fabric has runs in it. Same issues with my other one. Super bummed because it's a great fit and comfortable.

Disappointed with the Customization
The customization said “chest” the font goes across the seam along the side/arm pit and sits in the most awkward spot along your chest. The font size is off - looks off centered as well. I am so upset with the lack of quality. Additionally the color of the shirt is darker than the computer image.

Cute and functional
These sun shirts are lightweight and perfect for rides when you know you will be working. There are vents on the sleeves and back to keep you dry and comfortable. The colors seem a little muted in person—I thought they looked more vibrant online!

Comfortable, but sweat really shows!
I bought the Topaz. I wish I could return it for black… super disappointed. The top was very comfortable, but I ended up with huge sweat circles under my arms… while riding at night, in 65 degree weather. I needed better underarm venting to wear a color like this. I don’t see myself wearing this to the barn again unfortunately.

Wore this shirt just one time & is already fraying at the seams. Not to mention that the embroidery I got is also already unraveling. Again, only wore once and washed as the tag/website says to.

I got 3 and love the!
I got 3 colors and love them all. The fit is good, but I always order up a size in horse riding clothes. I wear a large in regular clothes, but got the XL in these. I like a little looser fit. The material is great and the colors are fabulous.

Light weight breezy fabric
I really like the feel of the fabric this shirt is made of and appreciate the extra coolness that the under arm mesh fabric offers. I also love the color - topaz is a coppery brown, nice to have a different color choice beyond the common sun shirt colors!

So happy I got this! It protects your skin from the sun without making you super hot, which is a plus in this Oklahoma summer heat. It is light weight and very breathable so I feel much cooler and less sweaty. Like most active wear type clothing, it is form fitting. I usually wear an XL and sized up to the XXL and I am glad I did. My only complaint is how easily the material snags, which is borderline impossible to prevent when dealing with horses and being in a barn. Still glad I bought it and how much more bearable it makes the summer heat!

These sun shirts are AMAZING
I get so hot in the summer but I burn easily, so I need something that offers a bit of protection from the sun in addition to my SPF. These are cool and breathable but also nicely roomy in all the right places (and snug where appropriate). Love love love and now have bought almost all the color choices.

Beautiful shirt
I love this shirt for daily riding in miserably hot weather, but it also can be worn stylishly with slacks or skirt for other occasions. It washes perfectly and looks like new after numerous washings. I chose the dark pink color that is really flattering.

Can't get my head thru neck opening -- short zippr
The neck opening is way too small. The shirt drags on my face and pulls my hair when I try to put it on. If you are wearing a hairnet, sunscreen, or makeup when you try to put this shirt on, it will get ruined. I don't know if all the sizes have this problem, but on the XS, the zipper is too short, which makes the opening too small. I wear XS in other brands and this shirt is a perfect fit, once it is on. I don't have a neck opening problem with other athletic shirts, but I have noticed that the SmartPak brand skimps on zipper length. I've added a photo to show the size XS, which has a zipper length of 6 1/2 inches, 2 inches of which are used up on the stand-up collar. This leaves only 4 inches down the chest. Other than this serious design flaw, the rest of the shirt design is very nice. I love the fabric weight and i think the green leaf & white color is so pretty. The fabric weight is very similar to the Tailored Sportman shirt (but TS uses a much longer zipper). I wish this shirt worked for me and I am sad that I have to return it. All the SmartPak shirts I own use short zippers and I will not be buying any more of this brand until they can change that.

Why can't it have a 9 or 10 inch zipper?
I love this fabric, but since the shirts are designed for cooling and sun protection, it seems like a longer zipper length would work so much better than the 1/4 zip. Hot weather means sweating and more need to change shirts. These shirts are hard to wrestle out of and into with the 1/4 zip. SmartPak, please use longer zippers like Kerrits, Tailored Sportman, and Arista!

Could be better
Just received my shirts and tried on immediately. The sleeves run a tad long. The fabric is a super shiny, clingy polyester that reveals every blemish, bump, bulge, bra strap line. Not too flattering. If you have the least bit of body insecurities, you may want to stay away from these shirts because they will show everything.... yes... even the black one! Just took it off. No good. It is light-weight so it will make a great sun shirt for all those who don't deal with body image issues :) (I'm 5'4", around 159lbs & tried on size L)

Very Comfortable and Beautiful Color
This shirt is very comfortable and moves with you. It's so pretty, I feel guilty wearing it while I'm doing chores, but you feel put-together to ride. It is true to size, has breathable mesh arm plackets and protects you from the sun.

STUNNING colors, very breathable and light!!
I LOVE these shirts and definitely plan on ordering more. I own the tailored sportsman and the R.J. sunshirts, and I honestly like these way better then tailoreds. They do NOT show sweat like tsp do. The mesh underarm is SO nice for hot weather. the fabric is light and stretchy, but not see-through! Highly recommend!!(Pictures attached) The only thing that I noticed is that the zipper could be better quality but they have held up for 4 months now(3-4 rides a week) with no issues.
