These were better before they were "improved"
I bought a pair of these tights last year, and they are fantastic! So comfy - they have become my go to pants for winter riding. I decided to get a second pair. Ugh! These update fit tights are awful! I ordered the same size I had last year - medium. When I pulled them out of the package, I thought "Did they send me kid's tights instead". The legs were so, so skinny. I tried them on, and the waist fit me perfectly, but the legs were so tight! No way could I ride, much less function in these! I liked the old fit better. And since the waist fit me well, I'm worried that going one size up won't work either. Wish I had bought 2 pairs last year. :(

Fall down!!
Terrible! These tights do not stay up no matter how many times one pulls them up!! I was seduced by reading they had pockets, so I bought them. Big mistake, they really do not stay up! And I live in the northeast and they are not that warm.

Best winter tights ever!!
I have both the full seat & knee patch version of these winter tights & absolutely love them!! I bought them last month at the retail store & practically live in them! With this sale, I just bought 2 more pairs!

Falling down
I bought 2 pairs. A grey and a black, They are not sized the same. Both fall down but the black which is bigger is horrible. I am always pulling them up.I tried using a belt and that does not help. I will say they are warm but need heavy long under wear also.

Best Winter Tights Ever, but Watch Out for Sizing
I owned the original 1.0 version of these, and have been hoping that SP would come out with the same thing only a better fit, because there truly isn't a better I-live-where-it-actually-gets-cold winter tight out there, but the original version fell down no matter what size I bought.
Happy to report that this 2.0 version DOES fit better and doesn't fall down, at least on me. They do come down a little in the back when I bend down, but they don't even think about actually sliding down my butt like the 1.0's did.
Sizing is still tricky though. In the 1.0 I had both XS and S and could wear either one with a base layer underneath. In the 2.0 I bought the XS and they are so tight, I could barely get them over my calves. That said, I did keep the XS, because they do stretch as you wear them and I don't feel restricted in them despite how tight they felt when I was putting them on, but I cannot get a base layer under them.
(For reference, I am an athletic 5'1, 120lbs and have an hourglass figure with a big CrossFit booty and legs. I am typically a 2-4 in pants.)
As far as everything else - they are still the warmest tights I've ever found with that brushed velour? interior. They are still as comfortable as yoga pants and have two great phone pockets on both sides. That's it, that's all I want in a winter tight, and these knock that out of the park.

They fall down!
Maybe I ignored initial signs of weird fit because they had some key features for good winter riding tights: thick, soft, warm. They weren’t the wrong size (I’m a large, even though Piper runs bigger than, say, Horseware or Kerrits), but after wearing them for a bit, they started to sit higher in the front than the back. If they weren’t full seat, I would’ve tried them on backwards, thinking maybe the label was stamped on the front in some sort of manufacturing defect.
Fast forward to going to the barn, and by the time I’d brought in my horse and groomed him, these pants just kept falling down. It’s hard to groom a horse when you’re tugging your riding tights up every 30 seconds. By the time I was done grooming, I had to admit defeat: there was no way I could ride in these. Literally hand walked my horse (with one hand holding my pants on), and went home.
With thicker tights you need a certain amount of structural integrity in the waist band so that they stay on. These don’t have that. It takes a lot for me to skip a ride, but these pants did the job.
I wish they were better, because the fabric is cozy and warm, but the ability to stay on your body is a requisite feature. (Not that it necessarily would’ve helped, but there aren’t belt loops, so even that wouldn’t have saved me). 😞
