Oster Turbo A5 2 Speed Clipper is rated 3.4167 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for small jobs I find these clippers are fine for clipping muzzles, and maybe ears/chin/around feet as long as the hair isn't too thick. If the hair is too thick or they get slightly old/used for more than 10 minutes or so, they tend to quit on me and stop clipping. The engine still runs, and the blades still move, but they don't cut through the hair anymore. If you're looking for a dependable set of clippers, I'd look at a different set.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't know how bad they were until I used Andis! I've had these clippers for a couple years, and have used them for body clipping a couple times. Despite having a spotless horse, they have always struggled to clip cleanly for more than 10 minutes. They overheat very quickly and blades dull much faster than they should. I didn't know how bad these were until I recently clipped a horse with Andis clippers. What a difference! These will be going in the trash.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Had these for a year now and they are terrible. They go dull fast, leave tracks and have little cutting power. Very disappointing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor clippers I bought these for doing light bib, apron or trace clips on my horses. I've always been a Wahl fan, but these came highly recommended. Honestly, I could not be more disappointed! As other reviewers have mentioned, the blade does not stay snug against the housing, and the blades leave tracks, even when they were brand new and the horse was spotlessly clean. It is even a struggle to use these on bridle paths and legs. I won't be buying Oster clippers again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poorly made, not worth it I had the exact same experience with these clippers as the reviewers SportMorgan and LongfieldFarm wrote about in their reviews. The blades do not stay in place against the body of the clipper, and the clipping quality is terrible! I am an experienced groom and have clipped hundreds of times, and these were very disappointing. For an easy trim job, I expected a lot more. It would have been FAR less expensive to pay someone else to clip my horse's bridlepath, face, ears, and legs. I sent these back to Oster, and the replacement pair they sent has had the exact same problems. I wouldn't recommend these clippers if you are planning to use them more than once.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Darn Good I used these today to body clip my mare. Although I stopped to cool them every 10 minutes, my hyper sensitive horse never complained about the heat. My only "cons" are that they are difficult to maneuver around legs and the blade replacement instructions are TERRIBLE. We had to find a you tube video to figure it out... But, for light/medium weight coats, this clipper is great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed in Performance I have a Cushing's pony that needs a full body clip 3-4 times during the summer. I did like how these are so light weight, and I don't mind the cord, but the clipper body heats up after about 20 minutes and the blades heat up in about 45 minutes. They do great around the face/head and legs but it takes me 4-5 hours to do her whole body so I'm back looking for a heavier duty clipper. If her coat wasn't so dense they might perform better. I don't feel these do a good job on the body but are good for the legs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from sorely disappointed I bought this based on the reviews and because it was on sale. My plan was to use it for some light body clipping and trim ups. 20 minutes into my first clip the clippers were overheated, making weird noises like they werent functioning properly and not cutting evenly. The horse I used them on had been blanketed all winter and had a light coat. Needless to say, my poor horse ended up with a really bad haircut that took 4 hours to do. I will be sending these back. Dont bother trying these clippers. Waste of time and money. Very disappointed.
