Worked okay
I got these clippers a while ago and they worked pretty well at first but it seemed like the more I used them the worse they got. I eventually sold them and am buying cordless now. There's just way better products out there that are less expensive.

Works like butter!
Very pleased with this product. I groomed my cockapoo who practically looked like a sheep and fur came right off. Also it is not loud so my pup waa not scared. I highly recommend this product! Well worth the price.

powerful small clippers
I had these clippers for many years and they always did a great job. When they finally died, I bought another pair of small clippers (different brand) and they are only good for ears and very light hair. I still have them but they are very limited. Then I bought another brand of small clippers and they were worthless and I sent them back. The only reason I did not order these Oster clippers again is that they did not get such great reviews, but I decided to get them anyway and I'm glad I did. I tested them as soon as I got them and they are just like I remembered my old ones to be. Very quiet to work on the head and powerful enough to do legs. Great companion to the big Oster body clippers.

Not the clippers they used to be.
I just bought a new pair of these clippers after having my other ones for many years. I used my old ones on my dogs and horses. These get hot fast. Better do the muzzle first. Not much good for anything other than that. I also have a mini and barely even got his neck done before they got really hot. Even with oil and Cool Lube the blades get much too hot. Plastic lever that moves the blade broke on me just after the one year warranty expired and they had very little use. Switching to another brand.

Great Clipper
I have used these for years to do many body clips and trims. They are small, light, and easy to handle. They are fairly quiet and do a good job especially for the price.

So Disappointed
The screws holding the clipper blade assembly loosened immediately. I've put up with it and tighten the screws several times with each minor clip job, but I can't take it anymore. I had a single pair of Oster clippers for well over a decade and never had any trouble. These fall apart and the blades have no life to them. Not purchasing Oster again.

Pathetic
I am so disappointed in these clippers, they got so hot that the plastic is discolored where they heated up, they can't clip anything effectively except muzzles. When trying to clip the bridle path they struggle even in high mode. Absolutely do not recommend them.

no go
I've used Osters for years, but lately, it is a no go. The Oster Turbo A5 is a big disappointment. They have a lot of competition now, and they need to get with it. Will order another brand. Oster is a no go, in this set of clippers.

Good for small jobs
I find these clippers are fine for clipping muzzles, and maybe ears/chin/around feet as long as the hair isn't too thick. If the hair is too thick or they get slightly old/used for more than 10 minutes or so, they tend to quit on me and stop clipping. The engine still runs, and the blades still move, but they don't cut through the hair anymore. If you're looking for a dependable set of clippers, I'd look at a different set.

Didn't know how bad they were until I used Andis!
I've had these clippers for a couple years, and have used them for body clipping a couple times. Despite having a spotless horse, they have always struggled to clip cleanly for more than 10 minutes. They overheat very quickly and blades dull much faster than they should. I didn't know how bad these were until I recently clipped a horse with Andis clippers. What a difference! These will be going in the trash.
