dressage is hard from
I bought this pad out of sheer curiosity.
It has no straps, made in Canada, and is $40.
However, I'm glad I did. This baby pad is really just a fancy AP pad. I only have two issues. One,YOU CANNOT USE THIS PAD WHILE YOUR HORSE IS SHEDDING. I put this on my mare early in spring, and it just bunched up under my saddle. The suede like material is what "sticks" to your horse, and because the hair was loose it didn't stick at all. Two, if you horse sweats a lot, this might not be for you. My horse and I were riding out in 70 degree weather for about 40 minuets. As I unsaddled her, I look at the saddle pad and it's slick with sweat. I have no problem with that, but the next day I take the saddle pad off the shelf, and the sweat is encrusted in the fibers of the saddle pad. So crusted that the pad didn't stick at all. I in no way hate this product, I love the strapless feature and the overall product itself.

LOVE this pad!
I bought two of these back in August for my ottb, who has crazy sensitive skin and I was desperate to find a pad that A.) wouldn't slip back B.) cause wither rubs C.) wouldn't irritate his skin and this pad is a home run. I absolutely LOVE these pads and I can't say enough good things. They are very durable, my ottb is a sweat monster so I wash them once a week in cold water with a mild detergent and hang to dry and I haven't had any problems. I also really like how long the pad is. I don't have to worry about him getting rubs because my gel pad doesn't even come close to hanging off the back of the pad. The colors are classy and the design is eye appealing.

Great for sharkfin or flat withers!
I have multiples of these pads: one for each horse and one to rotate through the laundry. As a big fan of baby pads to keep my half pads and other saddle pads clean, I want something that doesn't add bulk. This is a little thicker than a regular baby pad but thinner than a full pad. They wash up great and resist staining (yes, even the white ones!) The best part is the V-shaped withers--it doesn't push down under a Thinline saddle pad, like all the rest seem to do. Best pad and worth the $!

Very pretty, sturdy, and soft!
I ordered this because it seemed quite shaped and more supstatial than most baby pads, and it definitely lives up to expectations! I love that it accounts for the whithers and doesn't bunch up, letting the saddle sit properly and unobstructed. Very nice pad at what I think is a fair price. You're not getting a little white cotton sheet, yet it's not thick enough to add any extra padding. Lovely minimal pad, would definitely order more.

Great Pad - doesn’t shift during ride!
Bought this pad to go under a bareback pad i had bought and was worried about irritating my horses back. This pad was the perfect size, didn’t add any thickness, and did not shift at all during my ride! Love it!

Awesome
Best baby pad ever. I get these as often as I can and I just added a 4th to my collection. Doesn't slip, contoured withers fits amazing, and looks very sharp. One of my all time favorite pads, if not my favorite (next to smartpaks AP pads). Definitely one to spend the coin on.

Awful
Reading all the great reviews of this pad, I expected to really love it. Well, that was pretty much the opposite of what happened. This pad slipped so badly on my horse. I tried it three separate times and each time it just didn’t work. For my horse anyway, this pad is not the one.

Hands-down, the best baby pad I've used
I absolutely adore the Ogilvy baby pads. The fit of them is fantastic - they don't slide around, even without girth or billet straps (and I actually love that they don't have straps), and the contour for the withers is phenomenal. These are some of the only baby pads I've found that are A) long enough to actually use under a halfpad without the halfpad hanging off the back of the saddle; B) fit well under my forward-flapped saddles; and C) are contoured to fit the horse's back. They are a bit thicker than a standard baby pad, but not as thick as most regular pads. Perhaps the best part is that they wash up amazingly well - even my white one, which sat dirty for several months before washing (not that I just admitted that... in my defense, it was misplaced during a move). I just throw them in the washer and hang them to dry. Pro tip: A rubber face brush is an excellent tool for removing horse hair before washing.

Good quality, thicker than expected
Nice color and construction. Thicker than expected for a baby pad, more like something in between a regular and baby pad, or even a thin regular pad. if you are looking for something really thin this may not be it. Works perfectly for me though and stays in place despite not having girth or billet straps

Once you go Ogilvy, you never go back
Love love love these pads! They look great, are durable, stay in place and wash well. Has more "substance" than the thinner old fashion baby pads.
My favorite part of the Ogilvy baby pads is the angled wither, which provides relief on my shark fin gelding and allows the pad to stay up in the saddle gusset without wrinkling elsewhere.
Highly recommend and totally worth the price. Looks great with a monogram too.

The best schooling pad
I have had been using these baby pads for several months now and I couldn't be happier with them. Though the price is a little steep, the style and functionality more than make up for it. I have this pad in both black and gray and I plan on ordering navy in the future. The underside of the pad truly provides grip despite lacking any sort of straps. I use a non slip girth along with these pads and my saddle doesn't budge, even when Finn decides to clear a jump by a mile and a half. The pads were also soft enough to aid (or at least not aggravate) the rubs he had on his back from a previous normal cotton pad. These pads are fairly long, so if your saddle is under 17" there will be a ton of excess... this might be a con for some, but I have an 18" forward flap saddle, and these pads give a little room to spare. Highly recommend!

Lovely pad
I bought this pad because my 18" saddle needed a much longer baby pad because I use a half pad underneath. The half pad hangs off the back of a regular length baby pad. This 25.5" spine is the perfect length, and I wish Smartpak would make a pad with small diamonds in this length. The shape fits my high withered TB perfectly. Great pad, soft underlining, good fit!

Fits and looks fantastic
Bought this for my high withered horse and love it! It stays put even with no girth or billet straps and doesn't work it's way back behind my leg like other baby pads I've used. I've used it for a few weeks, washed it several times, and it comes out looking new again. Plenty long enough for my forward flap 18" jump saddle. Thicker than other baby pads, but thinner than my SmartPak brand pads - perfect for under a half pad. I initially balked because this is more $ than I would normally spend for a schooling pad, but I'm VERY pleased so far and plan on purchasing another.

As Good as Promised!
Just bought two white ones and would like two more in COLORS please SP! This is an awesome pad. I ride dressage on a short backed friesian with withers and amazingly this pad fits nicely. It's sparkling white and doesn't move despite the lack of billet or saddle straps of any sort. My dressage saddle is 17.5 inch seat with 15 3/4' flaps and leaves about 1 inch above the binding at the bottom and 2 inches in front and back. When I took my saddle off, there were no black leather rubs and the pad had stayed exactly where I placed it before I rode. The pad is lightly quilted and adds little bulk with a soft flannel-like under side and a tough appearing woven material on top. The curved shape was great for my prominent withered horse.

We have multiple Ogilvy baby pads and they are wonderful! They wash so well and for a pad with not girth straps it really stays put while jumping. No bunching up under the saddle with this pad!
