Overview
The Ogilvy Baby Pad is the perfect training pad... also used in the Grand Prix ring! Short, square and so stable that it doesn't even need any straps to stay in place. This little pad carries all the characteristics of the Ogilvy pads: very ergonomic, with its unique V-top shape, it reduces friction at the withers and on the back, and sets the pad firmly at the base of the withers. Made of resistant poly cotton twill, protected with stain resistance on the outside, and a special quick-dry anti-bacterial/anti-fungal brushed poly on the inside. No foam in the inner section: it has been replaced by high performance hollow core fibre that wicks away the moisture from your horse and dries quickly after use. Maximum breathability, moisture wicking V-Shape: special protection for the withers and the back. Stain resistant, Anti-microbial, and anti-fungal. Quick dry. This pad comes standard with the binding only.

Love this pad!
I have bought two now and it will be my go to pad in the future! The pad gives my guy the wither relief he needs and doesn't slip. It also seems to be breathable since he hasn't been getting super sweaty. The drop is perfect and not too long for my all-purpose saddle.

The Ogilvy baby pad is all I use for schooling because it's so durable and stylish. It pairs well with the gummy half pad. The silver logo pendant brings a nice touch of drama to the pad.

Not for us
I ride a very wide, stocky, rotund POA mare, and as much as I love how chic this pad is, it really isn't the best for us. I've had this pad for a while, it's been through the wash a lot, and it's lost it's initial "structure", if you will. Whenever I ride it scrunches up everywhere, it always slides back. My mare does currently have some fat deposits in her shoulders and hardly any withers, so this poor pad really has nothing to cling onto. Overall this pad is very good quality, but unfortunately isn't the best for us.

LOVE THESE PADS!!
I love these pads because my horse is smaller bodied so the size is great and the quality is perfect. I wish smartpak would stock more of the baby pads. i still have one on backorder that I'm waiting for them to get in.

Perfect for 18” saddle and large Mattes
I have used this pad several times but not yet washed it. I am thrilled! It has no straps but stays in place perfectly and keeps my crazy expensive Mattes half pad clean. I’ve already been looking at buying a few more.

Amazing quality, however...
I had heard great things about the oglivy baby pads for so long that I finally decided to get one for myself. The quality of the pad is outstanding, but after riding in it today, I think it would be better suited for a horse with taller withers. Unfortunately, the contoured shape leaves a HUGE gap above my mare’s wither and allowed the pad to not only shift around but also bunch up pretty badly along the spine.

worth your money
I have three of these baby pads and I am in love! They are easy to use and easy to clean. My saddle doesn't slip and they fit so well on my horses. Although they are expensive they have lasted me a VERY long time and are defiantly worth the investment!

Favorite all around pad
The Ogilvy family of pads are my absolute favorite. The lining is fabulous at working away sweat and heat. I have had no problems washing them. They just go in the washing machine and then air dry. Even after months of regular washing these pads are holding up fantastic. And at this price, it’s a steal!

Love this pad! Bought it for a horse show and had our barns logo done it it and it looks amazing! I really love the non-slip aspect of these pads and they hold their shape very well. These are the only pads I will buy from now on.

Amazing quality
Ogilvy always makes high quality products, and I wanted a baby pad that wasn’t thin material that became cruddy after only a few rides. This pad has the thickness and feel of a regular saddle pad, extra length at the withers, and can fit the entire length of my saddle without having my riser pad poke out from behind (I hate doing extra laundry)

My favorite pad!
This is the ONLY pad I use on my horse. We use it at home and to show. It stays put, holds the saddle well and has a great shape for spine relief. I have a few white ones for showing and some of the great colored ones for riding at home. They hold up to lots of washing. Airs dry very quickly!

Great Quality, not quite non-slip
I have had two of these pads for going on three years now and I love them! I have one in black and one in white, and I throw them and my Ogilvy half pad in the wash together and have never had an issue with bleeding. I would recommend doing a second rinse cycle on these pads as they can hold some laundry detergent after washing. They always come out of the wash looking new, and I wash both pads weekly and they haven't pilled. Both of these pads will slide back after jumping, but my horse has a huge shoulder, big withers and big movement so I have yet to find a single pad that won't slip on her so this isn't a big complaint as on most horses it stays put. The pad can also bunch up behind my leg after jumping but this could easily be fixed with a girth keeper (an option for the baby pad if you order directly from Ogilvy).
Overall, this is the best baby pad I have ever tried and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great quality, contoured baby pad that will last for years!

Beautiful saddle pad!
Absolutely gorgeous saddle pad. This was my first Ogilvy purchase and the quality definitely stands up to the price! I'll be honest I wasn't sure about the shape of the pad, but it makes for a gorgeous fit.

Top notch!
I just love this pad. I use it EVERYDAY. It washes beautifully and fits my big horse (with tall withers) great! Never have to worry about the top of the pad pinching those withers, and it's long enough so that my Ogilvy half pad does not extend past it. Buying another, and I also want to try the Ogilvy profile saddle pad :-)

Aesthetically pleasing buts slips.
Bought this about two weeks ago. Looks very nice but it bunches and slips when jumping. It needs either billet or girth holders to prevent slippage. The quality andvalue is good and if not for the slipping it would get 5 stars!

Well-made slip resistant pad that looks great!
I got spoiled by these pads and didn't realize how much until mine was still drying after being washed awhile back and I had to use a regular quilted all-purpose pad. After that, I ordered my second Ogilvy baby pad. SmartPak has a great price on the plain pads, especially if you're a SmartPerks member and don't have to pay shipping. I love not having to worry about straps, which usually just get in the way in my case. The bottom of these pads is soft and slip-resistant, the top looks great and holds its color after washing, even after the pad has been sweated on all summer. I have the gray one and the navy one now.They fit my saddles well and work with my different sizes of horses (a Haflinger and a TWH x Arabian). I like them very much!
