Why We Love This

The Myler Bitting System is a graduated system, meaning that as your horse learns and progresses through his training, you will change the way you communicate with him by re-bitting him periodically. Each Myler Bit is designed to use select pressure points for the best communication for that Level.

Level 2-3:

Horse Level
•A Level 2 horse with a good mindset, can benefit from more tongue relief.
•A Level 3 horse with advanced skills but requiring more control; not ready for Level 3 freedom.

Mouthpiece Level
•Features curved, ported mouthpiece for tongue relief
•Offers variety of pressure points. Uses tongue pressure and more bar pressure, rolling on the bars. May collapse into the bars
•May offer palate pressure depending on port height
•May offer curb and/or poll pressure depending on cheek design
•May offer Independent Side Movement™

This bit is a Stainless Steel Loose Ring with Stainless Steel Forward Tilted Port (MB 36, Level 2-3) with Copper Inlay and is USEF dressage legal.

Myler Level 2-3 Forward Tilt Ported Barrel Loose Ring is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for sensitive green horse My green Arabian horse has a very sensitive mouth and was evading every bit I tried him on. He accepted this bit right off and I can also control him better than the Level 3 Myler. If your horse is always over or under the bit, this is worth to try!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mid labeled It was labeled 51/2 inches, measured 6 inches. Very annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the quality of the mouthpiece, smooth edges I bought this bit because i was looking for something my sensitive-mouthed, Fresian Sport Horse would carry happily without over flexing at her poll and going behind the bit. I was using a french-link loose-ring snaffle before. With this bit she flexes at tbe.poll and accepts a light contact much better, not behind the bit. The higher and wider port gives her tongue the space it needs. And the tilted port seems to encourage a correct head cairrage. My only complaint would be that a 5" is almost too small and the 5.5"would be too large. But it doesn't pinch her lips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a difference a bit makes! I bought my 17 y/o mate a year ago. She had in the past been ridden in a bit but the prior owner used a hackamore. I tried a happy mouth but the plastic got beat up. I tried a Korteel oval mouth egg butt and she was too"mouthy" on it. I had a horse seller/trader recommend this. OMG, it was amazing how quiet her mouth is and happier she is with this bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NICE BIT This bit gives communicates vertical and lateral flexion clearly to the horse. This is a great beginner/intermediate bit.
