As riders and online shoppers, we know it can be tough to buy a new bridle or pair of boots without trying them on. That's why we moved the fitting room to your living room (or barn)! From breeches to blankets, if you or your horse can try it on, you can return it, free! Just use the pre-paid return label included in your order within 60 days from the purchase date. And of course, please make sure the item is in like-new condition with original packaging (we said 'fitting room', not 'war room'!).

The Myler Bitting System is a graduated system, meaning that as your horse learns and progresses through his training, you will change the way you communicate with him by re-bitting him periodically. Each Myler Bit is designed to use select pressure points for the best communication for that Level.

Level 2

  • Curved mouthpiece
  • Uses less tongue pressure and more bar pressure, with the mouthpiece rolling on the bars. Applies pressure across the tongue versus more in the center. May collapse into the bars.
  • May offer curb and/or poll pressure depending on the cheek or shank design.
  • May offer Independent Side Movement™.
  • The Myler Level 2 3-Ring Combo Bit is a stainless steel bit with a 6" shank with Sweet Iron low port comfort snaffle (MB 04, Level 2) copper inlay mouth. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation. Black leather noseband and synthetic black curb strap.

Myler Level 2 3-Ring Combo Bit is rated 4.7143 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective for difficult OTTB One month of use has enabled me to teach my eager OTTB how to stop without punishing his mouth. TBs trained for racing are taught to take the bit and run; obviously for a new career as a dressage prospect, control is important. This bit, while it looks huge and complicated and harsh, is anything but! The nose and poll pressure signal the horse your instruction before touching the mouth, allowing your seat, legs, then reins to do their jobs. So I have been able to retrain my OTTB and preserve (even improve) the sensitivity of his mouth, his suppleness, and our communication. The Myler website and YouTube have very good instructional videos on the proper use of the bit and how to fit it... A must because it's part of a training system. It is eventing legal, but not dressage competition legal. Would also be a great bit for new riders or riders who need to work on their softness in their hands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't work for my horse The only reason this is getting 3-stars from me is because it just plainly did not work with my horse. He rides wonderfully in both hackamore and 3 ring elevator bit, but apparently this combo didn't work for him. I had hardly any control in the arena when I tried it, so I was really bummed when it didn't work because I thought I could use it for my Competitive Trail Rides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST BIT EVER i bought this bit for my 9 year old twh he is a very laid back barrel/trail horse he is amazing in both bits or bitless but in barrel shows i cannot compete in a halter witch he does even more amazing in so i decided to get both poll and chin pressure with a bit so i got this and it was totaly worth it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, versatile bit I have been using this bit for only about 2 weeks but it's going great so far. My horse is 5 years old and is adapting well to it. He is much more responsive in this combo bit. The 5 inch size fit him well - he's a 16.3h warmblood cross but doesn't have a huge warmblood-like head. I did have to buy a cob sized bridle to go with this bit because the purchase on the bit is long. Overall, great quality but of course, it's a little pricey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyound Collection I am very pleased on how how this has improved my horses collection and her rate. We were always in a constant battle. Now she tucks her head and collects without trying to speed up constantly. Thanks something that finally works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This bit is a Godsend! Owning an extremely difficult to ride thoroughbred mare, with TMJ issues, has been interesting to say the least. After many trial and error combinations this bit has worked the best! The distribution of the pressure is a Godsend-- and we can still adjust to add either more or less pressure on the nose and poll instead of her mouth. 2 months ago bits had her rearing and flipping over, now she is stretching and reaching for the bit! Thank you Myler!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Didn't work well for me The bit is high quality, very nice, but my horse didn't do well with it. I used it on a 100 mile endurance ride and had less brakes for the first 20 miles than with my trusty tom thumb bit. I was hoping it would give more leverage at the gallop, but it definitely did not. I would recommend this for a horse that is very light in the mouth and responsive to light pressure. Would not recommend it for stopping freight train arabians who are set out to win. :) No harm, it was worth the try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bit in experienced hands My mare is very suspicious of contact with her mouth due to choices made by a previous owner. She's most comfortable in a double jointed loose ring snaffle, but that's not really an option when she fires up cross country. She also has a low palate. We've spent over a year trying different bits and combinations of tack to make her comfortable but rideable. She can't handle any kind of a twist and gag bits made her panic.I love this bit because it has the hackamore action which my mare respects. A lot of the time that's all she needs, allowing me to go on a soft contact even when galloping in the open. It also has the stop on the ring to keep the bit from sliding up the ring and acting like a gag. It acts more like a pelham. Everything about this bit urges the horse to put their head down rather than her old routine of flinging her head in the air when she disagreed with me. This means we've been able to ditch the running martingale and her noseband. We get a lot of looks because it looks like a lot of bit, but when used by an experienced rider? This bit is very soft and my mare is very comfortable carrying it.
