Offering more coverage and a bit of compression, the soft four-way stretch fabric has exceptional shape retention for a great fit. In addition, Flow shaping, slightly lower in the front so there is no bulk in the saddle and higher in the back so there is coverage. The wide, 3-inch waistband is designed with an inner power-mesh insert to hold and shape the waist. XL is way too long, other than that great!
I'm a big girl (size 16ish) so I struggle to find riding clothes that fit. I've had good luck with the Kerrits tights, though! I have several pairs of the bootcut microcord tights by Kerrits, but when I bought them they didn't have a pocket (and I desperately wanted a pocket).
These tights fit well, they're comfortable, and they offer a nice smooth silhouette. The only issue I have with them (and I had the same issue with other XL Kerrits) is that they are way too long. With the bootcut tights I had to have them altered, but these are thin enough that I can fold the extra 2-3 inches of fabric up over my ankle and it doesn't interfere with my boots.

Kerrits Freestyle Performance Tight Review
I bought the Kerrits Freestyle Performance Tight and received the riding tight a few weeks ago. They fit well, true to size, and are very comfortable, especially when riding my horse. I highly recommend the Kerrits tight and will be purchasing more tights in the future. And, I love getting the Kerrits seeds.

Best summer tights!
I have a pair of these tights and the Kerrits Ice Fil Tech Tights, and these are hands down the winner. I'll admit, I have yet to actually ride in these, BUT I've spent a lot of time in the hot Colorado sun in these tights, and I haven't even noticed the heat. My horse isn't currently cleared for riding, so I've been hiking with her (in 70-90 degree, sunny weather) and these tights keep me as comfortable as if I were hiking in shorts. They're really breathable. I've even gotten compliments on them from non-horse people. I'm going to buy another pair or two to get me through the summer.
One note on size - I've worn Kerrits pants for years and I've always been a size medium, and the Kerrits pants I still have still fit me in a size medium. A medium in these tights was huge in the waist, and I had to go with a small.

Great pockets, but weird waistband
I live in Kerrits Flow Rise Performance for tights three seasons but really wanted them with pockets (like the Ice-Fils I wear all summer) and thought these Freestyle tights were the answer to my prayers. The pockets ARE great...but I mistakenly thought the " wide, 3-inch waistband is designed with an inner power-mesh insert to hold and shape the waist" would have 3-inches of elastic (like the "Signature 2” no-roll waistband" in the Flow Rise tights) Instead, there's an empty 3" band with a 1/2" of elastic at the top. It sure doesn't seem "slightly lower in the front" to me, and I also should have read the review that says these run slightly larger. The tights feel loose on my thighs and calves and with the skimpy waist band I constantly feel as if they're sliding down. Everything else is the usual great Kerrits quality, but I'll be going back to my wornout Flow Rises and continue hoping Kerrits will add pockets to them someday.

Love these! Longer lasting than the ice fill.
Love these! I have found that this material lasts longer than the ice fill version. The stick also lasts longer on these vs the ice fill. The vents on the side are so nice. These do run large so order a size down than you normally would.

Great fit!
I was looking for a little higher waisted riding pants. I decided to try these and I'm definitely not disappointed. I love the fit they don't go up super high but just enough.
They do not have belt loops though but that doesn't seem to me an issue.
They ran large to me so I did get a size down from what I usually get

Comfortable, BUT.......
I bought the Kerrits Freestyle Performance Tight specifically for the pocket in the thigh area to hold my cell phone. Unfortunately, the pocket really is not deep enough to solidly hole an iPhone 11. On the flip side, the tights are comfortable and a really cool design with silicone "dots" on the seat and legs to give you a confident seat, no matter the activity.
