Why We Love This
Keratex Hoof Gel provides the ultimate all year protection for hooves. Most problems resulting in hooves cracking and losing shoes are caused by the effects of water and ammonia, so Keratex Hoof Gel protects the whole hoof capsule by providing a barrier against adverse environmental influences acting on the integrity of the hoof horn. It isn’t a damaging oil, but a powerful hydrophobic treatment that leaves the hoof glistening dry. While Keratex Hoof Hardener repairs damage to the hoof horn's molecular structure caused by water and ammonia, Keratex Hoof Gel quite simply stops the damage from happening in the first place. Used as a standard hoof treatment throughout the year, Keratex Hoof Gel will maintain the moisture content of the hoof at the same natural level.
Use every two days, except in dry conditions, when it can be applied every four days. Apply an extra coat before riding out in snow or in extremely wet, muddy conditions.
