This elegant Ivy bridle by Kavalkade has all the features of an ergonomic bridle, making it a comfortable fit for the horse! The English noseband with removable flash is fixed to the head piece on both sides which reduces pressure on the horse's poll. The noseband is softly padded with a special curved cut to keep the cheek bones clear. The extra wide anatomically shaped and softly padded crown piece allows for extra comfort and freedom for the horse's ears. The browband is curved, and the contrast stitching and decorative embroidery give this bridle a very elegant look. Comes complete with rubber reins.

Excellent value

Absolutely love it!
I was gifted this bridle last year and have loved it since. It looks fantastic and fits all my horses great. I am complimented on it frequently. I use it for everything and still looks brand new. It was stiff and a little difficult to break in, but once it was it has been the best bridle I've owned.

Excellent quality!
This is an excellent bridle for the price and most important my mare approves. Its beautiful with the stitching and the crown is nice and wide. It's stiff at first, but with some good leather conditioner it softened up easily. It runs on the large side, my small WB (15.3h) needed a cob size. Its a gorgeous bridle.

Unsafe! Stitching came lose in a matter of months
This bridle has severe quality issues. But the major complaint I have is that the stitching came lose after about 10 months of light use and great care. Not decorative stitching; stitching that holds a buckle in place. Now I can't fully trust that the other stitching is secure.The entire bridle is now basically unsafe. Aside from that, several straps don't fit nicely into the keepers. I guess you get what you pay for. If you have this bridle, I suggest you check it often.

Fits perfectly.
My sensitive Thoroughbred loves how this bridle fits, and he's not a fan of most anatomic crowns. It avoids pressure points and looks great. Love it!

Okay, but not great
Am happy with the fit, style and overall bridle. Sizes seem to be proportionate and fits well. Leather quality is TERRIBLE though, for the price I expected it to be decent but not amazing but it is so dry and shiny it almost looks cracked / wrinkled the first time you use it... I'm hoping with some oiling and massaging it in it may soften down, but it doesn't look likely. Will keep it for now and upgrade for the horse I bought it for later.... really wish the leather quality was better though, I had a hard time finding this style and I like it a lot and would pay a little more for better leather.

Terrible leather quality
The leather quality is absolutely terrible I wouldn’t suggest this bridle to anyone. Even after conditioning it it was still terrible quality leather. I ended up selling it for less then half the price I paid for it.

Low quality leather - started disintegrating
I was really excited to get this bridle but the quality of the leather isn't what I thought it would be. It comes pretty stiff and the leather started rolling (yes, rolling!) off the first time I cleaned it. It's still usable but very much not what I had hoped and I'll have to get a new brow band for competition. I only cleaned it with glycerine soap, water, and a soft tack-cleaning sponge before the leather started disintegrating and it now has light patches over much of it, even after conditioning the rest of the bridle. And unfortunately the rest of the bridle is still very dry and stiff. It's a beautiful bridle in design and my horse seems to like it, but really not the quality I was hoping for.

Difficult to fit
I love the craftsmanship and look of this bridle. It does run large and i would recommend downsizing. I tried the horse on my draught and it was still not fitting appropriately and returned it.

Love this bridle!!
Only used it a handful of times so far but I am IN LOVE with this bridle! It’s super padded and comfy on my mates face. She has sensitive skin so the padding is super nice. They come with stoppers on the reins which is great for those who use runnings. The only thing is the flash was way too big so have a leather hole puncher ready! Love it and would really recommend.

Nice Bridle!
I brought this bridle a month ago and it does run very big. My horse usually wears an oversize but that ended up being way too big. Definitely go a size down on this bridle!

Very happy with this bridle
I was looking for an ergonomic bridle that worked with or without a flash and this seemed to fit the bill. Somehow didn’t notice the white stitching in the pictures and was a little surprised when it arrived but now I love it and am just hoping it stays white! As other reviewers have commented, it does run a little big. My horse has a long but narrow head and the horse size fits with just a little room to shorten. And the caveson is on the last (smallest) hole. Can’t comment on durability as I haven’t had it long but the leather is soft and it looks like a more expensive bridle.

Pretty, but MASSIVE
My mare often teeters between Horse & Oversize, so after reading the previous reviews was so looking forward to this running “a little big.” Well... it was MASSIVE. Even on the top cheek piece holes, it was too long for her draft cross head. The noseband/flash & brow band fit well though. It was very pretty, but was returned.

Beautiful Bridle, but the keepers break
We have owned two of these in the past 8 months. Each time, the leather keepers under the noseband have broken. We take great care of our bridles, and this should not have happened.

Very Nice and Pretty Leather Bridle
I bought this bridle about 2 months ago and it was exactly what I wanted. It came faster than the rest of the items I ordered and the package had no damage to it whatsoever.
I bought this fo my 15'3 hand Quarter Horse, and the Horse sized bridle was almost too big, however it still worked with a little bit of wiggle room to go slightly smaller.
The padding on the nose and crown piece are very soft, and overall this bridle is worth its slightly high price.

Classy looking bridle for the price!
I didn’t want to spend much on a new bridle for my sweet, yet incredibly destructive OTTB. I also wasn’t sure about the wide nose band. This bridle looks very classy on him. The reins are really lightweight in my hands, it was awkward feeling the first time I rode with them but I’d forgotten about it by the end of the ride. They’re nice and long. The leather will need some conditioning, but that’s to be expected at this price point. That’s the only reason for the 4 stars and not 5. Overall, it’s a great piece to look good at home in and wear to schooling shows.

What a gorgeous bridle!
I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful this bridle was. It fits exactly according to size and just has the most beautiful feel to it. The reins are small but I didn’t plan to use those reins as I have a set of reins I love and planned to use them anyway. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the keeper on the flash attachment did break on the first use. I bought a flash attachment from Horze for $10 (smartpak doesn’t sell parts) so it really was not a huge deal. My horse loves this bridle and so do I!

Beautiful bridle, runs large
I really wanted this bridle to work out but the first time I ordered a full size and it was too large for my 16.2 OTTB. I exchanged for a cob size but never got to try it because it was missing the throat latch. When I went to exchange for the second time, the cob size was backordered and after a week of waiting I just cancelled my order for a different bridle entirely. It seemed to be good quality but if you have a horse with a narrow mouth like a Thoroughbred it might not be the best fit.

Flattering on my gelding!
I bought this for my coming 3 year old. He needed his own bridle but I didn't want to spend a fortune. This bridle appears to be flattering and nice for the money. He has a large head for a cob, but a small head for horse size; the cob size fits him perfectly. So far I am quite pleased with it.

Beautiful bridle with removable flash
I’ve been looking for an ergonomic bridle for my young mare that does not require a flash. I tried a much more expensive one that broke within the first few days. I found this one and so far, so good! Great padding at pole and on the nose band. It runs very large so I had to return the full for the Cobb size. The brow band was then too small but I have a crystal one I use anyway.

Beautiful fit and quality!
I bought the cob size for my petite TB mare, and it fits her perfectly. The delicate ivy stitching and ergonomic design make for a very attractive bridle on a horse with a feminine head. It also seems to be made of very high quality solid leather— it oiled down very nicely and is super soft. The crank nose and works really well. The flash is a little long for the sizing, so I had to punch holes and will need to trim it. I do not normally like the rubber web reins, but these are thin enough that they don’t bug me and I will actually use them! I am really pleased with the quality of this bridle for the price I paid!

Okay fit, horrid smell
I am returning this bridle as it doesn't quite fit around the nose, the noseband doesn't want to flatten down on the horse's face and is a bit too big, but more than anything, I dislike the smell of it. However the leather was treated, the smell stays on your hands. It's not a nice leather smell, very much a chemical smell.

Love that this bridle is ergonomic and affordable!
I bought this for my sensitive, reactive 13.2hh Haflinger mare when I started riding her in a bit (instead of a hack) to refine some of her training, as I figured it couldn't hurt to get a bridle that's ergonomic. I removed the flash, since my mare doesn't need it. The bridle is really attractive and the leather feels nice. The stitching is a nice detail. My instructor even complimented me on the bridle and asked where I got it. And my mare seems to like it. That being said, sizing is a little weird. My mare's head is usually sized right between cob and horse. I got the cob, and the noseband fits fine, the throatlatch is nearly too small, the rest is nearly too large. But it does work for us. Only thing I don't like is that the padded noseband pushes out at the sides. I suppose that it will soften eventually with use and start to lie flat. Overall, I think this is a nice bridle for the money.
