Justin Ladies Windshire Collection Field Boots is rated 3.5714 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from REALLY tight through instep I desperately wanted to love these boots. The leather is soft and supple. The grippy patch feels like it would be amazing. But alas I could barely get my foot in the boot. The length was fine, but the elastic laces are cinched down so tight that that you really have to work to get your foot into the boot. And I have flat feet and I was wearing Zocks. I'm guessing this would get better as the elastic stretches out and the insole breaks down, but they felt like vise grips over my instep. Also, it should be noted that there is no leather behind that grippy patch, just padded cloth. I'm guessing it would give you great feel, but I wonder how well it is going to wear. And the zipper on the left boot kept getting stuck.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice fit, may scratch your saddle I ordered these as back up boots for my tredstep Raphael's since they are in the zipper shop every six months. I picked these because they were in budget and came in tall. The leather is mediocre, but very soft. The footbed is a great shape, but I had to take the insoles out as they were too thick and pushed my foot up into the top of the foot section. I replaced them with some gel insoles I had lying around. The shaft of the boot is nice because it does not taper too drastically, though some with skinnier ankles might dislike them for that. The talls are perfect for my incredibly long legs (5'9" with a 36" inseam). I was able to ride in them straight away with no break in time, which is great for backup boots. If I were to rate these boots on this information alone, I would give them five stars as they are great for the price. However, there is one monstrous drawback that leaves me deliberating between a one and two star. The inside panel of synthetic material is HORRIBLE. The stuff made disgusting noises when I use my leg and it also SCRATCHED MY SADDLE AND STIRRUP LEATHERS! Luckily my dressage saddle has grain flaps and is older so with conditioning you can't tell. If I had a calf saddle as so many do these days, who knows what sort of shredding may have occurred. Finally I slathered the patches in Effax leaderbalsam which helped them slide. Now I have to apply it every time I ride in these boots to keep them from scratching my saddle.I simply cannot fathom why a western boot maker would launch their first English product in many decades and think they could improve upon what English riders have already! Why didn't we have grippy synthetic patches before? Because anyone with any sense knows that although a still leg is desirable, a rider must actually move her leg to give an effective aid! Stillness is relative, not absolute!I do not recommend these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally boots that don't hurt my feet! Althought the leather quality is nothing to write home about, its to be expected given the price. On the plus side, I have issues with boots without arch support, but no problems here! Can wear them all day without any pain.
