As riders and online shoppers, we know it can be tough to buy a new bridle or pair of boots without trying them on. That's why we moved the fitting room to your living room (or barn)! From breeches to blankets, if you or your horse can try it on, you can return it, free! Just use the pre-paid return label included in your order within 60 days from the purchase date. And of course, please make sure the item is in like-new condition with original packaging (we said 'fitting room', not 'war room'!).

The JP Hunter Dee w/ Dr. Bristol has attractive Dee rings and comfortable curved bars. The Dr. Bristol link applies tongue pressure when required by rider. 4 3/4", 5" or 5 1/2". 11 mm thick.

JP Hunter Dee w/ Dr. Bristol is rated 4.8571 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Bit for My Horse! This bit was purchased as a slight upgrade with a bit more leverage than a classic Hunter Dee. My horse adjusted right into it and seemed to like the link in the middle. I had one of my best rides ever the first time I used this bit. Nice quality, durable metal. The only complaint I have, along with other D-rings, is that the reins get pulled to the incorrect bridle part (bottom of the 'D').

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Bit, Great Response from My Horse! I wanted to upgrade to a slightly different bit from my plain D-Ring Snaffle and a friend suggested this bit as a good step up with a bit more pressure/leverage, but not anything too severe. My horse adjusted to this bit immediately, and I just had one of the best rides in recent months using it. He is a bit more responsive and actually holds his headset better and for longer periods of time using this bit, and appears to enjoy the link in the middle. For the price, the quality is great and really looks like a more expensive version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Horses Love These I've had many horses respond to these bits (or the slow twist version) better than to regular snaffles. My greenies really blossom with these bits! It's just enough without blowing their minds :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! My instructor recomended I try a Dr. Bristol bit on my horse. It's really made a big difference and it doesn't seem to harsh. My horse and I are both very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great I got this for my appendix QH who had a very hard mouth and got very quick the first time I used it he was extremely supple and soft! I love it I won't use anything else on him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I ordered this bit for my talented hunter/equitation horse who is usually calm and level headed on the flat. I noticed he was experiencing some discomfort from his regular D-Ring, and immediately realized he was very sensitive to the nutcracker effect of his normal bit. I immediately ordered this bit, and as soon as I made the switch, I noticed his change in performance in the first ride. I was extremely happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dr. Bristol review I had a nervous small mouth QH who got quick and wouldn't relax with rein pressure. I suspected he wasn't comfortable w/ the simple snaffle poking him. When we switched to this bit he settled right down. I won't use another bit for baby horses now. The three piece bit allows the horse to be able to concentrate on his work rather than being distracted by the discomfort.
