Ice Horse Evendura Wrap is rated 3.8667 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Most cumbersome and poorly designed product I own I bought these ice boots because I wanted a top quality ice boot for my horse. The product design is what I consider the worst in any product I have ever purchased. The ice packets actually fall out of the wrap when I carry them the few feet from the freezer to put on my horse, so I'm always having to stop to bend over and collect what fell out of the wrap. The second problem is that because the ice packs are huge rather than individual small cells, the liquid can freeze in odd lumps and bumps instead of freezing flat and even (unless you have a complete freezer to dedicate just to one pair of ice boots, which seems unlikely for most of us...our freezer only is used for about three pair of ice boots, so there is plenty of space, but it's still impossible to get these to freeze evenly in shape without lumps and bumps if they are sharing freezer space.) The design is very cumbersome because the packs are not attached to the outer wrap, but rather to an inner mesh with its own velcro...which then you have to hold the outer wrap while simultaneously strapping up the inner mesh pockets and trying to keep the whole mess from falling down and meanwhile the straps from the inner velcro tend to stick all over the place to the adjacent leg, which makes it a mess to try to put these on. Worst of all, the fact that the ice packs are lumpy and bumpy means that the wraps are not long enough to close unless you somehow got everything to freeze evenly (going back to maybe someone who has a complete freezer just to dedicate to ONE pair of ice boots so you can lay out each pack evenly.) I own a tack shop, so I'm not exactly a dummy in terms of how to use products, and below is the best I could do to get this product on my horse. You can see that the straps don't reach, the boots sag and slip, and the ice packs are all bulky, uneven, and lumpy, because of the ice freezing unevenly. (I tried thawing and refreezing several times, but it always came out this way.) I will be buying another brand and throwing these away because I hate these so much. (I much prefer the kind with small cells of ice sewn into the wrap as the small cells keep the ice flat and even.) Never have had a problem with other brands of ice boots, but these are horrific.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good, after a modification. I like these wraps because the ice packs do stay colder longer than comparable products. The boots did not fall down on my mare while she was walking around in her stall. As long as you close them snugly it shouldn't be a problem. The main thing I find fault with is that the inner mesh pockets into which the ice packs go are not fully sewn to the neoprene wrap, they are only affixed at a few points. Therefore, you put the ice packs in and the inner mesh pockets are flopping all around while you are trying to wrap them around your horse's legs, meanwhile trying to keep the velcro tabs on the outer neoprene wrap from getting stuck to the wrong spots. It is really cumbersome. I solved the problem by sewing the entire perimeter of the inner mesh pockets to the neoprene outer wrap. A little DIY saves the day. Otherwise, I would be sending these right back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bummer This product didn't work for my horse at all. The boots fell down and my horse would have stomped all over the ice packs and ruined them. My horses are small 14.2 hands. Maybe they work better for bigger horses but it was very disappointing how poorly they worked compared to the recoews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reliable Ice boots Great easy to use boots. I am not sure that the cold packs are in equal contact along the leg, but great for traveling, when you don't want to waste water or need to do other chores around the barn while horse gets cold therapy. Well made, secure velcro and paks stay cold for a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Icing made Easy My peruvian mare needs icing after rides for synovitis on her hind legs. These boots make it easy to accomplish, much nicer than standing and running water on her for 10 minutes. I put her in a stall and leave the boots on, then take them off after 10-15 minutes. The removable ice packs are easy to insert, reusable and hold the cold well. I wouldn't let her go on turn out with them on, as they might come off after awhile--it isn't recommended anyway. Not cheap but much better than a massive vet bill! I like these a lot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great customer service! My horse tore his suspensory, and needed ice boots asap. The Smartpak store had sold their last pair, but had more in the warehouse. The store manager was able to get the iceboots to my barn in under 48 hours! Many, many thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes icing simple I got these boots to use when my filly cut her leg n ended up with her cannon bone swollen. The boots are great they make icing simple and easy. I use them now after training with her to ice her tendons, and they are one of the best purchases I have made. Well worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Icing for Recovery This product makes icing a much easier task than having to load bags of ice to the barn and putting them in another ice boot. My only complain is the fit is very snug. Luckily I only need to ice my horse's suspensory ligaments, since I cannot get these boots to fit well enough to keep the fronts closed. However for the purpose i need them for, I find this product to be worth the purchase.
