Great Fft! So comfortable!
These are my third pair and my favorite winter breeches by far. So warm, comfortable, perfect amount of grip, repel dirt and hay, and they look GREAT! Keep me warm on trail rides or in the arena. I'm long waisted, just under 5'5", 120 lbs., with a short inseam so all breeches are 'long' on me, so I wouldn't say these run 'long'.

Comfy for winter, well made
I bought the green. The color was much lighter than I had hoped and thought it would be based on the website photos. Item was on backorder and by the time I received it, it had gone on sale on various sites.

Super warm and well made!
I have been looking for warm breeches to add to my winter riding wardrobe. These breeches are super soft with their thick fleece interior and soft shell exterior. These are a bit snug to get on but are easy to ride in. So far I have been extremely happy with this investment.

Nice quality and great for weight lifter calves
I like the quality of these breeches, and they feel like they will be warmer than anything I own for winter. I am looking forward to testing them out in cold weather. I see that many reviews complain about the baggy calves. For me, they are a benefit. I have muscular calves and have a really, really hard time finding anything that will fit my legs that are not comically big at the waist. These fit my thighs and have room to spare for my calves. I will have to take in the waist slightly, but that is just a matter of adjusting the clasps, which is a lot easier than suffering zero circulation in my calves.

I bought the Horze brand before and LOVE the way they fit and wear. I read the reviews on the thermos Horze and there were a few comments that they run big and the calves are baggy....they were spot on. I wish I ordered a size smaller, they don't have anymore:(
The non thermal ones run fine. These are very warm and like one of the other customers say...the baggie calves are in my boot anyway and they don't interfere with my riding...next year I will buy the next size smaller for sure. I have a few winter breeches and they are very fitting where the horze is more comfortable to wear...the fabric is the best!

Winter Breeches
I like them for the fit above the knee, but below they are loose and hard to/impossible to get into boots. I wish Velcro at the ankles would come back. It is nice to be able to tighten the bottom of your breeches.

Warm and comfy
So far so good. Does run large. Fits like a full rise. Some stretch. Appreciate the Pockets and the bottoms. At 5’9 with longer legs these work just great.

Poor fit
Just purchased these and was excited when I felt the fabric. The finish is slick and would have been easy to brush off around the barn. However, when I finished pulling them out of the packaging I could immediately tell that the legs had something wrong with them. The calves were huge! I can't find dress boots to fit my calves without going custom and these fit like sweat pants. They were also way too long, which I expected them to be a touch long based on previous reviews, but I would have to top 6 foot to be close to the height needed to fill these. I'm really sorry to have to return these because the quality of the fabric seemed so good, but at least Smartpak has a good return system.

Calves were HUGE
I ordered these because we can all use an additional pair of winter riding breeches. I'm a size 24 and they fit very well from the knees up, however, the calves on these are absolutely huge. My calves are about average size and no number of fuzzy socks would make these fit. The material is good quality and I'm sure they're super warm, but I wouldn't be able to use them with my regular riding boots or even my bogs. For that reason, I returned them.
