Leg freedom and luxurious comfort!
Not loving the look of cordura, I passed on this saddle and bought a Circle Y for more than twice as much. Then I sat in a bunch of western saddles at a tack shop and as soon as I hit the Daisetta...WOW. The seat is SO cushy and comfortable and the cordura I thought I didn't like is actually very freeing on my knees and ankles and makes for a nice lightweight saddle. I couldn't get it out of my mind and finally ordered one. I switched to offset/slanted stirrups and now I can ride for hours in total comfort with zero torque on my joints or sore seat bones. The wide tree fits my solid little Morgan better than my Circle Y (High Horse is made by Circle Y but not all trees are the same). I find western rigging to be a huge pain so I use english girth converters and a back cinch instead of the V rigging. Even my english event rider friend who hates western saddles loves it. I'm normally a 15.5 western but with the extra padding, the 16 seat fits perfectly. I didn't see myself going back to my Circle Y after experiencing the Daisetta so I sold it and could not be happier. Great for western dressage, working equitation, obstacles, endurance, trail...anything you want!

Great Saddle!
I’ve only had a chance to get out in this saddle once...but oh-what a nice ride it was! The seat fits me perfectly and has just the right amount of cushion. I did change out the stirrups to my leather ones, but even with that extra added weight, it is still so easy to set down on my mare!

Fantastic saddle. Lightweight and super comfortabl
I have a very wide, short backed mare that has huge shoulder movement (some gaited blood). I tried two other very expensive brands, custom fit. Both of them caused white withers and white on other areas of the back. I had given up getting a saddle that fits her. This one fits her perfectly in the gullet and shoulders. The spinal clearance is perfect and the bar angles are as well. It is so light I can carry it easily. The cordura stirrup jockeys are great because they don't fight my knees. And, there is now squeaking or break in time needed. I love it. I have been riding, training and caring for horses for 35 years, I have 7 of my own and I also gentle untrained mustangs.

Love it. Fits my wide, big shouldered horse.
I have a wide, short backed horse with huge scapula movement. She is a wide-extra wide horse. This saddle is fantastic. I spent $3000 on a Parelli saddle that ended up causing white marks, returned it. Tried a $3,000 100% custom Synergist - awful fit and lost money. This Daisetta saddle (wide tree) fits my horse beautifully. There is room for the scapula movement, plenty of spine clearance and the bars fit her "double back". I recommend sizing up, I ride a 15 to 15.5 normally but with the super padded comfy seat a 16 fits me perfectly. The cordura stirrup jockeys are easy on the knees. There is no stiff break in feeling and no squeaking. All of this and it so light weight! My mare walked and trotted out perfectly. I ride super hard in the Colorado mountains and do endurance. I am so glad to have this saddle. I thought I would change out the plastic stirrups but my Bog boots fit great in them and its muddy and wet right now. All of this for under $1,000! I would highly recommend this saddle.

I have a hard to fit MFT and tried several saddles. I was able to test ride the wide tree, which was too ride, and tried the regular tree, which I bought as it does fit my horse. I have only had it a few days, so can't comment on longevity. Special thanks to the customer service staff at SmartPak for all of their help.

Very good quality.
I'm very pleased with this saddle. It fits my Warmblood gelding perfectly and is very comfortable for me. I especially love that it's so lightweight, which is the main reason I bought it. It's good looking too!

Well made, light, great price!
I did a test ride, which is such a great service! This saddle is well made, love the option to cross fire rig, and it's light weight (19#). I tried it for my 800# 14hh Spotted Saddle Horse (Paso Fino) and 16.2hh 1000# Paint. I definitely would have kept it except the tree was too wide for them. I need Semi QH or gaited flex and it's not made in the Dasietta.
