Pass on this! There are better options
Not terrible, but there are much better options. If you want high quality with a longer shank, buy the Stubben (https://www.smartpakequine.com/pt/stubben-hackamore-15229). If you want shorter shanks, more flexibility and pretty rings, buy a flower hackamore (one option - https://www.smartpakequine.com/pt/zilco-flower-hackamore-21015).
I specifically don't recommend this for 2 main reasons:
1) It is overpriced for the quality (Stubben is much better quality and functionality for just a little more; the flower is way cheaper and just as good of quality and more functionality).
2) Notice the very top hole is a weird shape, flat at the top. This means the cheekpieces will not rotate/shift in the metal, so when you pull back the hackamore will pull the cheekpieces forward, towards and possibly into the horse's eyes.

Cheap quality
I thought this would be good quality as it is a pricier hackamore but it is very cheap quality and doesn’t appear to even be real leather. Has a fake look and feel. The brown is also a lighter brown and because of the cheap/fake leather it is nearly impossible to dye darker. So slightly disappointed.

Does the job
For any english hackamore, this is fine. I did pay more expecting high quality from Herm Sprenger, though. The metal is great, the noseband is nice and squishy, but the leather and buckles are not of high quality. We will see how this holds up this year. Not that I wouldn't recommend it, but it just reminds me of the leather quality of the Micklem that disappointed me for what I paid for it. I would also like for it to come in a darker leather color than chestnut and for more holes in the noseband, but those are little nit picky things that are less important. Overall, it's just a hack, it'll be fine.

great quality!
I bought this about a month ago for a mare that doesn't go well in bits, and so far this product has been perfect! It arrived fairly supple, and further conditioning has only helped it. It fits a Welsh with a small head well, with plenty of room to adjust for a horse with a larger head. Well worth the price.

Comfortable noseband
The padding on the noseband is very soft. The curb strap however is pretty stiff, so I took off one star. My mare is happy jumping in this.

Great hackamore
I bought this four weeks ago due to bit cut. It fits well when adjusted properly. Fussy horse was fine in it. Was jumping in it in two weeks.

Just OK
Look of the hackamore is nice but am still questioning whether its real leather. Feels an awful lot like plastic or synthetic. Also, it may not fit a lot of horses because there is not much adjustability in the noseband. Was expecting more from a Herm Sprenger product.

leather is like plastic
I honestly don't like the color as it doesn't match the rest of my bridle.. needs to be made in a dark brown... not chestnut..

Helped respond to aids
My horse didn't like to listen to my seat and was constantly rushing or running through my hands. How I used this was just by squeezing my fingers and using my seat and he immediately responded with little to no pressure. He definitely was able to go into the contract of my hands after using this. In response to quality, I think it has a nice nose piece but I think the quality of the leather could be better. I'm sure with time it'll be broken in but it definitely does not come supple or pliable.

Did not fit correctly...
I bought this for my KMH that has had a prior injury to his tongue. I have been trying to ride in halter & reins which worked and it was suggested that I try a hackamore. I bought this but the horses face is too long for the shanks. I would recommend this for a short faced type horse but not a long faced horse. Good product; nothing to do with seller or the product itself. I had to return it.
