Haygain's high temperature hay steaming supports respiratory, digestive, and overall horse health. It is the only scientifically proven method for significantly reducing respirable irritants and allergens commonly found in forage. Haygain’s patented steaming technology adds moisture to hay, aiding digestion and hydration. Haygain steaming preserves hay’s nutrients and steamed hay’s proven appetite appeal helps even picky eaters get what they need from their most important food source.
The Haygain HG-ONE Hay Steamer features Haygain's patented spike manifold system that injects high-temperature steam evenly throughout forage in a double-skinned, thermally sealed chest. The steaming process attains and maintains temperatures over 212ºF, which is required to kill mold and bacteria. The lightweight and compact design of the HG-ONE make it ideal for ponies and light-eaters, and it fits easily on the trailer during travel. This Haygain has a capacity of up to 11-15 lbs of forage.
The Haygain HG-ONE has a steaming cycle of approximately 60 minutes with one 1.5kW steam generator (4 qt capacity) and a robust heating element. Complete with an easy open lid and handle making this Haygain convenient in the barn.
