Lovely quality for the price!!
I was hoping to love this bridle because it has been near impossible to find a black monocrown bridle with no flash. The bridle itself is beautiful... well made and soft leather. I actually purchased two, one cob and one pony. Unfortunately, while the cob size fit my cob sized critter, the pony was sadly too small for my 13h fellow with an awkwardly sized noggin. The majority of the bridle fit well, but the Noseband was exceedingly too small for his face. I have exchanged it for a second cob size and will have to have some leatherwork done in order for it to fit properly (throatlatch akd cheeks trimmed down) but the bridle itself is lovely so I’m willing to spend the extra to have it fitted to his face. I do wish they would offer replacement pieces so I could customize it without having it cut down.

Love this!
I wanted a straightforward, affordable bridle for schooling level dressage, but it’s surprisingly difficult to find one without a bunch of bling and most of them have a crank, which I don’t need. I was excited to find this bridle! I assumed the leather quality wouldn’t be awesome because it’s such a reasonable price, but I was wrong about that. It’s really nice, supple leather and I can’t detect a difference between it and expensive bridles I’ve cleaned (not owned, haha). The cavesson and monocrown are nicely padded, which my sensitive ottb seems to appreciate, and the fit is perfect (full size for 16h tb). I even like the reins and I didn’t think I would. This is a surprisingly nice bridle at an insane price. My guy looks super handsome and comfortable. Thanks Smartpak!

Really pretty, started “shedding” glue though
Looked great out of the bag, I oiled it with Antares oil twice and the glue on the brow band from along the stitching started to ooze out and clump. I was able to scrape it off but it took a few days of cleaning. Not sure if this is something that happens with bridles?? It was just the brow band too? Otherwise it’s broken in nicely, hopefully the glue running has stopped. I purchased it at a great discount so I’m not returning but it is something to consider when purchasing.

Doubt the pony would fit anything but a small pony
I have purchased other pony bridles to mash with a cob bridle in order to make one bridle that will fit my unique 15.1 hh Warmblood / Arab Stallion with short cheeks and fine muzzle but large brow and crown. I like the finer leather of a pony bridle which does not over whelm his beautiful face . I have owned ponies and I doubt this pony bridle would even have fit one of my Welshies. Other wise this is a nice bridle.

Very happy with my purchase!
Just recently switched from h/j to dressage which meant a change in tack was necessary. I got this bridle on sale for a great price. It's everything I was looking for in a bridle (simple noseband, monocrown, soft leather). The cob fit my in-between sized QH perfectly (throat latches on cob bridles are usually too short for him but he swims in most horse sized bridles). Very happy with the harwich dressage bridle!

Great quality but fit was off
This bridle is made from very nice leather, especially considering the moderate price. I loved that it has a thinner noseband than you see on many dressage bridles. It is very flattering for horses with finer heads. I did not like the reins that came with it, which were web with a rubber grip coating. I would have much preferred all leather. However, I would have been happy to just buy another set of reins, but unfortunately the fit didn't work. The cob size fit my petite 14.3 hand mare great on the noseband and headstall, but the throatlatch was huge. Even on the smallest hole it was way too loose, adding extra holes wouldn't have corrected it. Sadly I had to send it back, otherwise I would have given a much higher rating.

Great bridle for it's price
A few months ago I got this Bridle in a size full for my 15hh Quarter Horse Mare. It ended up being too big, so I returned it and got a cob size. The browband and throatlatch was, unfortunately, the only thing that wasn't too small. The cheekpiece was wayyy too short. The cavason was on every last hole and was almost too high. USPC requires there to be at least one hole on either side so that obviously wouldn't work. When i was trying it on, the keeper broke as well.
The quality of the leather was amazing, I wish it would fit. If your horse has that classic QH head I wouldn't recommend.

Good quality
I had to buy a new bridle for my 17.1 hand warmblood (he ran off and broke the old one.) I thought the Harwich bridle was reasonably priced and everything I've bought under the SmartPak brand has been of good quality. I was not disappointed. It is even nicer than I expected: the leather feels good and looks good, with padding on the crown piece and noseband. Thanks, SmartPak!

Perfect fit, nice style
I bought this bridle because it is one of the few dressage bridles I could find with a plain noseband. My horse wears a horse size, but is fine boned, so most dressage bridles look overwhelming and clunky on her, especially if they have thicker nosebands. This bridle fits her perfectly and is just the right scale for her head. The quality of the leather and workmanship is excellent, comparable to much more expensive leather goods. I am very happy with this bridle so far.

Nice enough for the price
This was the fifth bridle I tried for my hard to fit horse. She's between horse and cob, and bridles with the ear contours were not in the right place or crank noseband was too big. That's why I had to exchange the gorgeous Wellfleet for the Harwich. Horse size fits very well; regular nosenad style is more forgiving for size and basic padded crown is perfect. Leather is fine, but not the quality of the Wellfleet. Hoping it softens over time. Reins are great.

Great fit, fantastic leather, perfect price.
I just received this bridle and tried it on my horse. My horse is cob in all my other bridle brands - Harwich jump, ADT Imperial, Stubben dressage - and so order cob in this one. The fit was nice. The noseband is on the first hole, but I can tell it will stretch/flex more with time and probably end up on 2nd hole - and my horse does have more of a wedge head. The cheeks are also on the first hole, both sides - so if I use pretty much any other bit (this is an HS, so large rings) I might not be able to buckle the cheeks. The browband fits perfectly - one of the reasons I don't go up to horse size... The leather quality is SO SO nice and I'm snobby about leather. I don't like plastic-coated leather (some high end brands do that too!) and I was not disappointed! I will be using laced reins (have a pair, ordered the Passier) - and would love if SmarkPak make black laced reins in at least 56" for dressage use! 54" is just too short for dressage. Love that this bridle has the french cavesson and that it's not overwhelming on my horse's nose.

Nice bridle for the price
The bridle leather is good quality and I like the monochrome design. The crown piece has slight cut backs to allow more room for the ears. The package includes web reins that I'll use for spares and replace with leather ones. All in all a very nice bridle at a reasonable price.

Happy with this bridle
This bridle is great quality. I like the padding on the crownpiece in particular. The oversize fits my 1400 pound Irish Draught Sport Horse very well. I wish the reins were a bit thicker but the rubberized reins are much better than the web reins sold with the Plymouth bridle, in my opinion.

Day to day to show!
I bought this bridle as my first dressage bridle to use on a horse I share board. Marco looks so good! Super soft from Day 1. Currently used 3-4 days a week and after 4 weeks still looks new. I will show with this bridle! I was hesitant at first on the rein design but now, I can't go back to solid leather. Size I have is horse. If you have a cob on cusp of horse size, go horse. Very happy with this find!
