This IS NOW LEGAL for USEF/USEA shows
I finally found a bit that my young horse LOVES! He reaches into the contact, isn't fussy with it, he foams now, and I feel in better "control" than what I did with a double jointed snaffle. I highly recommend this bit to anyone who is looking for something different for their youngster.
It has also been approved for shows as seen in the January 2018 update - https://www.usef.org/forms-pubs/cd7fgZFu25Y/usef-eventing-annex-1

Amazing!!
This bit is an amazing product! I've used it on many horses with different "issues" or backgrounds. Green Beans love it!! I recommend it to everyone who is training a young horse! 10/10 would purchase and use this product 1,000,000 times over!!

This bit was recommended, as our horse is anxious and the bit fit comfortably. Better contact, which made for a better ride. Good quality at a good price.

Illegal for USEF
Before I tried this but my gelding was going in a AlbaCon French Link Loose Ring Snaffle (size 5 1/4). It was fine but I wanted something softer to help teach my horse that it's okay to go forward into the contact. This was my answer. He does go very well in this bit and it has helped with this issue. However, being a young horse, he still likes to chomp at the bit and has already started to wear on it a bit after a week of riding. That fact doesn't bother me much because the whole point was to find a softer bit. I am really sad to find out that the "shaped" part of this bit is illegal according to USEF :( If you are planning to ride with this bit during your dressage test, you may want to opt for the "plain" version instead.

A bit that makes us "happy!"
Bought this bit for a mare with a difficult to fit mouth, as she has a parrot mouth. Bit fits her comfortably and she seems to be very happy in it.

Great Product
My OTTB loves this bit. It fits him perfectly and I like it because it is gentle yet I have control. I can gallop him on the X-Country Course and jump and still have control. He doesn't resist contact with this bit.

Love this bit
My Youngest Jumper Soldier is a bit picky with his bits. He was not broke like normaly horses, his prior owner basicly destroyed his mouth with a western Charo Spaid bit. So soldier dose not like Metal bit (ocasionaly he dose) but He loves Mullens and happy mouth ones. I have almost a selection of multiple varity of these bits. This is the final step in his traning plus I needed somthing softer for Working with long lines or bitting rig. This bit was perfect.

well, still having problems...
Well, I thought I had fixed the problem of my mare's mouth splitting on one side by a larger bit, but it hasn't. I have never had this problem with metal bits but for some reason the plastic has caused her mouth to get cut on one corner. At first I thought it was because the loose ring was pinching where the loose ring attaches to the plastic bit, so I ordered a larger size, to no avail. I'm really bummed because she loves the Mullen mouth guess I'll be looking for a metal one or different brand now. There's $50 down the drain...

love this bit
My mare was fussy with her head despite being in a loose ring snaffle. She loves this bit and is much steadier in the contact now. She usually wears a 5" but this one punched the side of her mouth so I ordered the 5 1/2" and its great!
