Nice jacket
Nice fitting jacket. If you're in-between sizes, go with the larger size.
Green is not an "emerald" but a bit more towards fern, so more yellow in it than I expected. I bought it on clearance so I can't return or I would for that reason. The pockets are awkward as others have said but are plenty deep enough for my iPhone 14 Pro Max. They are more up and down so not angled well for your hands. I'm also surprised it doesn't' have the straps at the bottom to tighten so the wind doesn't come up from underneath. And as a jacket for riders, it should have a zipper from both ends.
It's a nice weight and the hood is well done. Good length as well, I'm 5'6". Sleeves are plenty long.

Super warm for northern Minnesota winters!
I really like this coat a lot. It is very, very warm (I live in northern Minnesota and winters are bitterly cold), but not bulky at all. It does have a silvery heat-reflective lining, which is super effective.
The coat is cut so that you can wear layers under it if you like. I am 5' tall, have a 46" bust and 36" waist, and am broad through the shoulders. I ordered both a L and XL, and kept the XL; the L fit, but was snug. In the XL, I can easily move my arms overhead, although the whole coat moves up with them, so I do have to shift all my layers back down again when I'm done bridling or whatever.
The sleeves are a hair longer than standard, but will keep your wrists and hands warm when riding or reaching for stuff; they do not interfere with reins or lead ropes. The wrist openings are slightly larger than standard to allow for gloves to easily fit inside and not get caught. There are velcro closures to tighten up the cuffs, but I don't use them.
The hood is removable, which is great.
The coat is windproof (we have 30-40 mph winds on a weekly basis) and debris slides right off the shell. The shell itself feels similar to a softshell jacket (though not quite the same).
There have been several reviews about how terrible the pockets are--I think they're okay, they're just not where you expect them to be. I got used to them within the first few wears. I like that the opening is pretty much parallel to the ground, so nothing can fall out of them and get lost in the snow forever. The pockets also have the heat-reflective lining. The zipper opening is fine for my average-sized hands (I wear size 8 fleece-lined leather gloves throughout the winter and didn't have problems getting my hands into or out of the pockets; my phone also fits in there fine). I think what folks are objecting to is that the zipper itself is pretty intense and heavy duty, and when combined with the welted pocket, if you're not wearing gloves, you feel the zipper teeth when you slide your hands into the pocket and when you slide them out again. It doesn't bother me, but I can see how someone might object to it. I wouldn't be mad if the zipper and pocket opening were an inch or so wider.
I really, really, really want a knee-length version of this coat with a skirt so I can keep my legs warm too!

Great Jacket!
I purchased this jacket as my outer layer for the cold Wisconsin winters. The thermal lining keeps me nice and warm and the water proof outer shell is water proof but does get slightly damp after being wet for a few hours. The hood is nice and large could potentially go over your helmet, I haven't tried that. The only weird about this jacket is the pockets. They are nice and deep, just placed in a very weird place, but still functional.

Good, except...
I bought this for last winter. The positives are that it really is waterproof, and it really is warm. The negative is that the pockets are the worst. Way too small. I cannot get my phone in the pocket easily at all. Also, if I try to get my hands in the pocket (and I have small hands), it sort of scratches my skin because it is so tight. Like I said, it really is waterproof and warm, so I kept it, but it may as well have no pockets at all, because they really are not useable.

Great jacket
I love this jacket. Warm and waterproof is perfect. The only improvement I could suggest is to make the pockets a bit bigger. I have small hands and I can only put them in the pickets with real effort so the pockets aren’t very useable. Otherwise, though, I love the jacket.

Love this coat but
I oder this coat and loved it. But I am 5 feet tall. Length for arm are always too long. I rely on cuffs and adjustable cuffs. These cuffs would not go tight enough for me. I was so disappointed because the coat was amazing.

Weird pockets
This is a nicely made coat. It felt like it would be quite warm. The problem is the pockets were very hard to get into and likely wouldn’t be useful at all. I returned it.

Way nicer than I expected
I thought SmartPak had sent me the wrong coat when this came. It’s much better quality than I was expecting. It’s not bulky, but good warmth. If I was to nitpick, I would want some sort of pull tab on the zipper.

So far, so good!
I have been wearing this jacket for about a month. I was looking for a really warm winter jacket. Since it has been relatively mild so far, I have not been able to fully test that aspect of it, but it does seem like a nice lightweight warm option.
Re: fit, I bought a small and am short waisted, curvy, 5'2", 115-120lbs, with long arms. It fits beautifully. I do agree with others about the pockets being too small. I can get my hands in when they are bare, but not so easily with gloves on. I have a small iPhone so that fits in the pocket well. It is well made for the price. Will update this when the weather gets colder.

Excellent Winter Riding Jacket
I bought this jacket specifically for a trip to Iceland, and just got back and can say that it was perfect. Water and wind proof, the reflective material kept heat in, and even at the waterfalls where it was -12, I was warm. In fact, the only time I was cold was during my ride, where the company had me take my jacket off to put on their snowsuit. I should have bought a size smaller but I wanted to make sure I could layer and move around. I saw some reviews about the pockets being small, but I have an iPhone XS in an otterbox case and there was plenty of room. I kept my phone in one pocket and my wallet in the other. They're a little high up as opposed to where normal pockets are, but I LOVE THIS JACKET.
