First pair was awesome, second was horrible.
I bought my first pair of these breeches in the brown and I absolutely love them, they’re my favorite pair of breeches, my go to, I wear them more than any other pair because of how comfortable they are. So, I decided to buy another pair in the same size, different color. unfortunately, the second pair was nothing like the first. I bought the same size, but the fit is so far off that I’ve worn them once and refuse to put them on again. I kept them thinking they just needed to be worn in, stretched, maybe washed, unfortunately none of that fixed them and now I’m stuck with an expensive pair of breeches that I’ll never wear again.
The breeches are a lovely color, fit well on my calves and thighs, but once they get to my waist it’s like they were made a completely different size. They’re so tight around the pockets and the zipper and make me bulge in the most awkward places. Just below my waist they seem the right size, but the zipper and the waistband had to have been the wrong size or something. It’s incredibly difficult to get them to zip even though they aren’t tight in that area until I try to zip them up. It’s hard to explain, but there’s just no way they were made properly. I have loved all of my Smartpak breeches until these, I’ve never hated a pair of breeches more than this pair, which really sucks because I love the color. I absolutely would have recommended these if I had only bought my first pair, but after buying my second I can’t recommend these when the sizing varies so much.

Love these breeches. comfortable, wash well, and have really held up. Have to say I won't order them again because I'm not a fan of the tan contrasting knee patches. much prefered when the knee patch matched the fabric. please consider bringing them back.

The best breeches
I have 2 pairs of these and they are AWESOME. They look stylish, have back ZIPPER pockets for my phone. I wear mine 4-5 times per week for about a year or two, and they're still holding up besides some pilling on the knee patch area. They fit true to size and are very comfortable.

Just missed the mark
I really wanted to love these, but just weren't quite right. Feels like good middle of the line material, and seems like they would repel dirt easily. Pretty good looking. However the back pockets are real and scrunch up, making your butt look weird. Also the inside of them is almost rough on your legs. If you've had RJ Gulf breeches you'll know what I'm talking about. I think with some tweaks they would be worth the money, but can't justify it for breeches I know I won't reach for.

A great value in breeches
I have 2 pairs and am very happy with the quality. Superior to Ariat in terms of fabric, construction and fit. Nice enough for local show ring. Washes well. Excellent choice for women of a certain age! Recently purchased the charcoal gray which is more like a blue gray vs. charcoal. A little disappointing but not a huge deal.

Comfy AND stylish!
Let me start by saying I’m a snob when it comes to breeches- Tailored Sportsman, GhoDho, and RJ classics are typically all I’ll wear. I’ve tried the original pipers and I didn’t like the fit or material, I tried the piper knit and while I loved the comfy material they werent exactly stylish.
So when a friend recommended I tried the hadleys I wasn’t super optimistic I would love them, but I love smartpak and love their awesome return policy AND they were on sale- I figured why not give them a shot. I’m so glad I did! The material is amazing! Very similar to my GhoDhos, lighter than the TS or RJs. And stretchier than all 3! They’re super flattering (they fit similar to TS, but thanks to the 4 way stretch they fit BETTER) water rolls right off and they never look dirty because everything brushes right off them!

I was looking for a pair of good quality breeches that weren’t crazy expensive and decided to get these. They are so comfy and lightweight, plus the material is dirt and water repellent. Definitely recommend buying these if they have them in your size!!

Fantastic fabric and fit!
I bought a tan pair for showing a while ago, and as soon after I bought another pair for schooling.The fabric is mid-weight - I don't mind it for summer or winter. But the best part is that dirt just brushes off of it and it's very soft next to your skin. The back pockets are pretty big and but show outlines a bit when you bend over. I have heard that some people just cut them out, especially for showing. Size tip: I wear the same size as in Pipers, but feel like these fit a bit better through my waist and hips.

I bought these breeches hoping to find something comparable to my TS but at a more reasonable price point. These are super comfortable and look great on. However, the color is way off- I ordered the charcoal but the pants I received are closer to a purple grey. I don’t mind the color but it certainly isn’t what I was expecting. I would also double check the size chart. I wear a 30 in TS and had to get a 34 in these so I suspect they run a little small.

Love the fit and fabric
I love these breeches so much I have several pairs. The fabric is lightweight and stretchy. You stay cool, and there’s no sagging. I do wish the belt loops were just a bit wider for a 2” belt, but that won’t keep me from ordering more.

These are awesome!
I love these breeches, I’ve always been a huge fan of the Smartpak Pipers, they fit me well and were cheaper so I never really thought to try these. I finally decided to get a pair of these because I wanted the tan knee patch, I’m so glad I did! I like these so much more than my pipers, they fit me better overall are flattering and are more comfortable (which I didn’t think was possible). These breeches are amazing! Totally recommend them!

Like TS but without the $$$
I had heard over and over that the Hadleys are a great alternative to TS, at a much better price. I was hesitant because the Pipers were a total bust for me. However after giving these a shot, the reviews were right!! These aren't exactly like my TS (the fabric is less canvas-y and more stretchy, which I actually prefer for those hotter days!), but the fit is very similar. I have a hard time finding breeches that fit me without sliding down or gaping (5'11", 180 lbs curvy w/ a smallish waist) and these do the trick, even without a belt! The longs are actually a touch too long for me, which has literally never happened before, so I'm not even complaining! Very happy and will be buying another pair!

Love These Breeches!
I just bought these breeches and I love them so much! They are so comfortable I don't want to take them off! They seem like great quality; you can feel the thickness of the material. Love all the pockets, especially the back zip up pockets. I also love that water beads up on them, and you can simply brush it off. These keep you nice and dry. Got these in smoke pine and I LOVE the color! These breeches rock!

Different fit
These fit different then described...higher rise in the back and lower in the front. Kind of a wide distance between the back pockets. Piper is much more flattering for my body type than Hadley. Sizes run a little bigger it seems, even the smallest size does not fit me. For reference, I am 4'10 adult. The quality is very nice and the color of gray was accurate

New favorite breeches!
I bought these last year, and couldn't be happier with them. I have a hard time finding breeches that fit well, I have long legs and a short rise, and the Hadley breeches fit better than almost any other breeches I've had in 20+years of riding. They are very comfortable with good quality fabric and lasting beautifully. Please don't stop carrying them or change the cut!

I just LOVE these pants. They fit so well, gorgeous colors, perfect fabric.. I could go on and on about them. I would buy all of the colors if they were all available in my size! I LOVE these breeches
These are my all time favorites! I wear a 36L and have a hard time finding breeches I adore. Hadley’s check all my boxes and feel much more expensive than they are! My only sadness is that all the colors that are available in smaller sizes are not available in mine ): id love to have a full run of colors, but I lm limited which isn’t so much fun.

I got a pair of these for Christmas, and boy are they awesome. They are similar to pipers but they have a more athletic fabric, and are slightly more stretchy. Cant say what the durability is as my oldest pair is only about 2.5-3 months old. I have and will buy more. New Favorite all season breech.

The Search is Over!
I have been searching for breeches that are comfortable, fit well, aren't too pricey, and that will last me a while and these are finally it! I have never been so impressed with a pair of breeches in my life. I've worn them in the brutal summers of Alabama as well as in the same Alabama winters and I have found in any weather they are incredibly comfortable and breathable. Water rolls off the surface and I haven't had a single problem with stains or marks. The fabric is just incredible and super comfortable. I do not fit well in the original Pipers at well, which is a bummer because I was excited for the popular breech but they just fit me horribly. These are more form fitting like leggings but have fabric like actual breeches or pants. I can not recommend these enough!
Just for size reference, I flunctuate between a 29" and 31" waist, I am 5'4" tall and 130lbs and I fit perfectly in the size 30R with plenty of stretch for growing or losing an inch or two.
