As riders and online shoppers, we know it can be tough to buy a new bridle or pair of boots without trying them on. That's why we moved the fitting room to your living room (or barn)! From breeches to blankets, if you or your horse can try it on, you can return it, free! Just use the pre-paid return label included in your order within 60 days from the purchase date. And of course, please make sure the item is in like-new condition with original packaging (we said 'fitting room', not 'war room'!).

Protect your horse's face from flies - without a fly mask!

The Fly Armor Xtra Strength Noseband attaches with VELCRO® brand fasteners to most halters or bridles to create an insect-free "force field" around your horse's face, ears and upper neck. If worn when grazing, it can also protect the forelegs. The safe, eco-friendly, scented inserts, which fit into pockets on either side of the horse's face, can last for up to four weeks for great summer protection. The protection gets even stronger as the heat increases (because that's when the bugs get REALLY bad!). If used in cooler temperatures, an additional Fly Armor element is recommended.

Contains Noseband plus 2 Replacement Insert Packs (4 inserts total) in resealable bag.

Black. One size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a miracle solution, but it does help My boarding barn puts the horses out at night in the summer because of the heat and crazy amount of bugs (it's near a swamp) during the day. Obviously, they can't wear fly masks when it's dark, so I've tried applying fly spray and swat to my sensitive warmblood mare's face, but she'd still come in with her ears all bitten and her eyes streaming from the irritation. She's scratched her cornea MANY times from rubbing them on whatever she can reach. I gave the fly armor a try figuring it was better than nothing. Her eyes have been much better, they're still a bit gooey and itchy, but that might be from pollen allergies. Her ears are still getting bitten, so the protection range the packaging suggests is not really that far, I'd say maybe a foot around the strip (she has a big head). While in her stall, she's not stomping and swishing her tail like the other horses, which is a big indicator to me that it is working. Unfortunately, it means that she has to wear her halter all the time and it makes the nose band heavy and it slides down on her nose and flops around when she's grazing, which has got to be really annoying. I also had to modify the velcro straps so that I could attach it to the side rings on the halter instead of the cheekpieces so it would lay actually across the noseband and not directly on her face.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product This product seemed to help releive my horse's irritation with the flies on his nose. I am also able to ride him without a fly mask. The product is easy to install on his bridle. It does seem expensive because the inserts need to be replaced.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fly armor noseband Flies have been so bad this year that I can't even ride my horse. He flips his head and refuses to trot. He does have trigeminal neuralgia (photic headshaking syndrome), which has similar symptoms, but it is seasonal. He is past the point where that condition makes him unrideable. Sprays and creams did not work to combat the flies. I put this nose band on and he is rideable and willing to go. An occasional pest will annoy him, but it doesn't stop us.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't live up to claims After watching the promo video and reading about Fly Armour, I was so excited to have a product that could protect my horses from disease carrying flies. Pigeon Fever is rampant in my area, so it is vital to control the flies that carry the disease. I purchased $200 worth of Fly Armour and feel it was a waste of money. I had flies land on my horse just one inch from the Fly Armour bands and stay there seemingly unaffected by the product. Save your money and avoid this line of fly control!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not quite what I had hoped for... I was disappointed with this product. It's very hard to find something that truly works to combat face flies this time of year. I used the noseband with the strips inserted (they were kind of messy to insert, as well), and we still had face flies during our ride.
