great bag for people and horses
I was looking for a "complete" first aid and emergency bag for my horses, my wife and I, and our dogs. I wanted a bag to keep in the horse trailer, which is near the horses and which can be used for animal or human emergencies, and which will be "ready to go" in case we have to evacuate due to wildfire, or to access outside the home in case of earthquake. I looked all over at dozens of bags. I chose this one because smaller bags, whether for people or horses, left out important items.
When I got it I was very pleased. The bag is strong and high quality, with useful compartments. It has all the basics I wanted inside, but no bag has everything I wanted. I like the fact that there is lots of room to add other items. I put in 2 trauma compression bandages, a wound stapler, a minor surgery kit, a disaster medical manual, a small can of oxygen, a few face masks, a bottle of Vetricyn, some herbal and homeopathic remedies, a stethoscope, a blood pressure cuff, and a CPR face mask. And there's still room to add a few things! I'm pleased. Without spending hundreds of dollars more, I don't think I could have found a bag like this to meet my needs, whether it's made for horses or people.

Great product.
I had my kit for about a month when my young mare came in with a 4 or 5 inch cut on her left rear leg. I broke out my kit and I was able to clean the wound of debris and apply a pressure bandage. This allowed me to stabilize the situation until my vet arrived. Now this kit travels on my trailer to events. I will be ordering another so the barn is never without a good first aid kit.
