Well made but maybe too heavy for Florida weather
I give it 4 stars because it is well made and probably will do the job. I felt the fabric itself was probably too heavy to use here in Florida so I returned it without even trying it on my horse.

Floppy and does not look sharp for jumping
I have yet to try it for a dressage test, but when I used it for a jumper show I was not happy with how it looked in photos. Very sloppy for such an expensive bonnet! In terms of the calming functionality, it doesn't *not* help, but just for aesthetic reasons I will not use it for jumping again

Short ears
I purchased this because it said it had 8” ears in the X-Large size. When I received it they actually measured 6.5” so it went back.the quality is good

Fits a wide head!
My 17.2 warmblood has a super side forehead and this is the only fly bonnet that stretches across his head with out pulling his ears. Love the fit, but don't use it for its intended purpose of calm.

I do not understand the science, but it works! I have a mare who is a dirty spooker, especially at things on the grounds, like puddles, non-conforming spots in the arena, & her own shadow. I have tried a lot of things. Smartcalm made it manageable, this bonnet has nearly eliminated it. As it is fairly expensive, I have been putting it to the test, walking my mare towards & over spots that she has a known history of spooking at. Nada. Didn’t take any warmup time or anything to start working - just totally different horse.
My horse wears a Cob size halter & bridle, I got the Large.
