Very flimsy rubber, poor hardware
Both tubs I received (MIller Mfg) tore at the rim or eye attachment within two months of once daily use. The are very floppy, which makes me wonder if they're not reinforced. The metal eye hardware for hanging them up falls out the tub rim if nothing is attached to it. I'm returning these and will buying tubs made by Fortex. I have tubs of that brand that have been used outside over 10 years and are going strong.

Convenient and Durable!
This feed tub is the perfect dish for horses to eat out of! My horse seems to love the wide diameter for easy eating and the high sides keep him from from spilling too much grain. I could instantly tell that the rubber material is super durable and will last me for years to come! Plus I love that the tub is flexible and will simply bend if my horse happens to step on it instead of a plastic tub that potentially could break and splinter. This tub comes with three rings to hang it in a stall as well, but these can be removed for ground feeding. I did notice a rubbery smell when I first started using this feed tub, but the smell went away after a few days of airing out in the barn. My horse ate out of this tub the day after I got it and didn't seem to be phased by the smell at all, as he licked the tub clean! This feed tub is a great investment that I know will hold up to barn life and last for years.

Actually a great tub but it STINKS!!!
I’ll start by saying the tub is great in every way except one - it smells!!! And not just “oh it’s a little rubbery” - I opened the box and it sat in the house overnight, it smelled pretty badly but didn’t think much of it. Woke up to the entire house smelling so strongly of rubber/plastic it was awful, spent half an hour running fans and opening doors and windows to get the stink out. It’s REALLY bad, I’m hoping after some washes it will come out but it’s actually really bad. Otherwise the tub is actually very nice, rugged heavy duty but soft if they are on it or shake it around - heavy duty hardwear! Overall it’s great, just stinky!!!

Well constructed, but odiferous
I have used this type of feed tub for 36 years. I use snaps and eyelets with rings to suspend them. Horses can still pull on them but not with the force they would with rigid attachment. The hold up a long time, and are easy to clean. These are very well made, and incorporate a sort of retainer to keep the eyelets from pulling through the slits in the tubs (the most common failure). These arrived with a very strong new tire-like odor, and had to be placed aside a few days to air out. After two weeks they are now in use, but still have a residual odor that will take more time to dissipate.

Love These Tubs!
In my area, it is hard to find these tubs with the eyes. I was replacing my stallion's old tub, since it was starting to show some wear. He turned 33 in May, looks like he is 12, so he deserves the best!

Heavy and deep
Bought this to feed watered down pellets to the horses during our hot Arizona summer. I do not hang them anywhere. If used on the ground please take out the cotter pins on the sides otherwise they will come out and you will find them in the stall

Stinks bad in the beginning
This product came with quite a strong stench, so I did not use it for food/water to give my horse. I used it for carrying water to clean with, and after a few weeks, the smell went away. It's durable and a good size. Other than the smell, it's great, and the smell does not last forever.
