Farriers’ Fix is made with only high quality, natural ingredients that provide vitamins A, D & E – all essential for good quality hooves. There are no fillers in this hoof oil, each ingredient used serves a specific purpose.Competitors can also be assured that Farriers’ Fix Hoof Oil has tested negative under FEI guidelines.

Venice Turpentine: an antiseptic that treats thrush and some of the bacteria that causes white line disease. It also toughens the hoof, making it more resilient to adverse footing conditions.

Cod Liver Oil: Helps to balance the moisture content and keep the hoof malleable. Cod liver oil is an excellent source of Vitamins A & D.

Wintergreen Oil: a catalyst that helps all the ingredients penetrate the hoof capsule is very effective in drawing out soreness. And as an added benefit, it makes Farriers’ Fix smell nice!

Safflower Oil: Works with the Cod Liver Oil to balance the moisture content, and contains Vitamin E.

Instructions

Instructions for Use:

For Horses with Hoof Issues:

Apply Farrier's Fix Hoof Oil to clean and dry hoof exterior, sole and frog every day. Allow 5-10 minutes for hoof to absorb oil before returning to stall.

For Hoof Maintenance:

Apply 3x per week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AdultAmateur from Keeping my OTTB sound barefoot I've been using this product for over 6 months and it is helping reduce cracks and keep my Thoroughbred's hooves good while barefoot! Use it all over the hoof (wall and bottom, frog, everywhere at the recommendation of my farrier). Previously, I used Keratex (and thought it was great too), but this product's moisture seems to help keep his hooves healthy during the rain/dry transitions rather than just harden them.

The weather has been unusually rainy, and he has some thrush and soft frogs. Within a few days, the little thrush he had was gone and his soles were harder. After using this every day for a week, he was back to normal. I now use it for maintenance. It’s not sticky like some others I’ve used. I am very pleased with this product! It is super easy to use, and I love the consistency of the hoof oil. My farrier was amazed with the quality of my horse’s hooves and how they were harder and drier, but not too dry. I love this product! I love the smell and could still smell it on her hooves the next day. Which I liked since I figured that meant it was still working!

He's turning 18 this year and we had our first foot problem that caused lameness; some ongoing thrush and hoof wall separation. My vet recommended some supplements and my new farrier had this stuff and recommended it. Took my 3 step hoof care routine down to ONE step!! 2 months later and his feet are nice and hardened with beautiful healthy new growth and no lameness. I'm not even riding in the boots any longer. It also smells amazing. I cannot recommend this oil enough!!

He had white showing at the top, that is already gone, and when I went to pick out his hooves, I was amazed that there was less mud and guck to pick out, and when I did it just came out so easily. He currently is being treated for an abscess in one foot, but I've been advised to continue applying this treatment to his other hooves.
