Nice pad for the money
I bought this thinking it would improve my saddle fit. It actually did not work for my horse and saddle, but I liked the style and design of the pad, and smartpak was, as always, great about the return!

Very nice pad, easy to customize.
This pad is great. But I would like to write about smart paks awesome customer service. We ordered two half pads, but were sent a full equine comfort pad in place of the mattes (more expensive) pad by mistake—even though the bag it was in said mattes and we were billed for the mattes. What’s good about this story is smart pak fixed it so fast and every phone call connected to a human being who was knowledgeable and helpful.

Sturdy and good adjustment
I have a new mare who has been out of work for a bit, and until she develops her muscle fully, this pad can make certain the saddle fits well, as well as being able to easily shift where adjustments may be needed as she muscles up, or it can be used to help one saddle fit horses of somewhat different conformation. The padding is not super thick so adjustments can be subtle, but can be doubled where more is needed

fits my high withered TB perfect!
I love this pad, it is just what I needed to fix my saddle to fit one of my TB's with extreme "shark fin" withers. I could not buy a special fit saddle for him so I bought this pad. I am really satisfied with the fit.

Durable
Equine Comfort Products always have high quality products and this half pad did not disappoint. Still looks new after 3 years of use. A couple things - I had to use a non-slip pad on top because the saddle kept slipping. The inserts compress more than I would like during the ride, but they can be replaced with the gel or DIY inserts. Also would be nice if the inserts extended a bit more in the front.

Nice design and flexible fit.
Purchased after finding my saddle wasn't fitting correctly. Very lightweight and not bulky. Looked very sharp with my saddle ( in black). Also was adjustable to fit with the different foam inserts. One flaw is that the inserts don't have much to them and flatten out like paper after using. I had to put different shims from another pad to use. Great for a growing horse to adjust to saddle fit or use without shims for additional padding between saddle and horse.

Love this half pad
I have owned this half pad in several different colors for a few years now. They are a great investment for a pretty inexpensive half pad/correction pad compared to other brands. They are easy to wash and come out keeping its shape. Only complaint is, the shims do not last very long and become "crushed" after so long, so definitely have to replace them or it serves no purpose once they're crushed. The replacements do not fit as they are a different brand, but you can cut them accordingly.

The pad itself is heavy fabric and made well. The foam shims are not the nicest but there are a few sizes use and so far seem to be holding up well. I’m happy with value of this pad.

What I Needed
Now that my horse is getting in shape, my saddle fit isn't ideal. This does exactly as I need, and he's moving much freer because of it. Once he's all muscled out, we'll be adjusting the saddle to conform better, but while we're waiting, this is an excellent fix. Good to know that if the memory foam shims start to lose shape, I can fill with a different type.

Did not expect such great quality for the price!
Pro. it was perfect for my sway back gelding and it is a beautiful and great quality pad.
Con. there is a gap in between the pockets that the shims go in so pressure is not even, and the shims are not that thick. but for what I needed it was fine, I removed some of the front shims and added them to the rear pockets.

Amazing quality for the price!
I've using this for almost a year and still absolutely live it! The memory foam inserts are able to be taken out or moved around to fit to almost any horse. The straps also help a ton with keeping the saddle pad and half pad under the saddle.

Love the price and durability HATE the shims
The shims are literal pieces of foam. Not memory foam type foam. But actual foam. They are cut in weird shapes and packed in there. I absolutely love my Fleeceworks and thinline shim-able pads but was looking for something less expensive for my young horse. This pad is great... but Ill be purchasing the thineline shims to insert into it because the ones it comes with are garbage.

Seems good, but trainer threw it out. Here's Why.
I really liked this pad. by far the cheapest setup with shims. I thought "awesome custom shimmable pad for under $100? how can I go wrong?" and the quality has held up well too. But now that I'm back to riding with a trainer she tossed it out. Because once the shims are in there is a one inch gap between them along your horse's back. That's NOT good. some horses will put up with it to be sure, and I suppose it's better than nothing when you are dealing with a bad fit. But be aware that it is not going to provide even pressure along your horse's back.
Now if they made this same pad with a full length shim I'd be a very very happy rider. because the price is right and the pad is really nice otherwise!

Can't beat the price!
I bought this a few months ago because my old riser was really hard to clean and just not nice enough for the start of show season. This riser fits my 16.5 antares saddle perfectly with a half inch to spare on the back. Non of my horses have complained about the fit so far. Can't beat the price for this nice of a half pad!

Does the job at a great price
This is the second ECP correction half pad I've purchased. I have one for my jump saddle and one for my dressage saddle. I have them shimmed differently to improve saddle fit for my big whithered OTTB. For the money, these pads do an excellent job and fit nicely under both saddles. My only complaint is that sometimes they can slip back if we're having a particularly adventurous ride; however, I think this can happen with any half pad.

Good value in this Correction Half Pad
I bought this to use on a Saddlebred mare with high withers and slightly swayed back. I've never purchased a half pad before, but I have to say that the quality seems very good and I think it will stand up to wear. The feature I really like is that there are removable foam inserts on the sides of the pad so the rider has some control about where the padding is and can add or remove the inserts as necessary. The more comfortable my horse is, the better for both of us! I rated the quality, value, and durability with 4 stars instead of 5 only because I have used the product for less than a month. I fully expect to love this half pad.

Wonderful fit
