Happier horse!
I had a rubber curb chain cover and it grabbed the guard hairs under my horses chin just enough to cause head shaking. I bought the foam cover and it was instant happiness. Plus, it is soooo much easier to take apart and clean.

Exactly What I Wanted
I was looking for a non-leather curb chain cover to ensure my horse had only a light and soft curb contact when applied. This curb chain cover fit the bill perfectly and the price was right. It is easy to take on and off, especially when it gets broken in. It is very soft and pliable.

Not overly impressed
I had ordered this with high hopes, but sadly will be returning. Previously used a standard rubber cover--which definitely works better for my horse than this one. First of all, the rubber one held the chain flatter and tighter and did not move or shift. Also, once the foam squishes down there is not much padding at all. My mare definitely felt the chain more with this cover, so back to the rubber one.

Wonderfully squishy!
I bought this as a chin guard for my geldings Stark Naked bit and I'm happy to report that it fits great and makes him more comfortable and relaxed going into the contact. Thanks EquiFit!

Makes bit more comfortable
I got this for my bridle because my curb chain was bothering my horse when we were riding. This cover is very soft and keeps my horse more comfortable.

Perfect for my needs
This guard is well made and easy to use. It stays in place and looks good. I'm just learning to use a double bridle, so the fact that this is quite well cushioned is very useful as I get more comfortable with the curb. Some riders might prefer one that provides a bit less cushioning, but I am very happy with it.

nice basic cover
this is a nice basic chain cover and convenient if you have a horse that rides with a cover sometimes and without sometimes. My guy apparently needs the chain in full effect so this didn't work too well for him but I would still recommend it for anyone who needs one.

Great purchase, however my mare does have a little face (takes a 5" bit) and it definitely covers the entire chain. Good price, nice and squishy. Good for a sensitive horse that doesn't like the chain giggling around.

A little long if you have a cob or small horse
but it will work I had to move it around and kind of jury rig it, but I got it to work. the horse seems to like it so that is what matters, just wish it would come in a cob size as well as a standard size.
