Love Them
I bought one, cut it in half and I use them when I wear tall boots. I put on against my skin in a position where my leg gets rubbed from the leather folding/bending into me and causing pain. They work great. I have never had them slide on me.

We can't go without them!
I bought these a few months ago after my horse got a nasty boot rub that turned into an infection. Her skin is so delicate that if anything rubs her she gets a cut which then turns into cellulitis. The vet reccomended that we use some socks and because she has such sensitive skin we went for the ones with the gel inside. Not only do the socks help to prevent rubs but it helps keep her legs clean throughout the ride. We also use it to cover up her pastern area where she has some issues and put a polo wrap over the top of the sock. This helps keep it in place and we have never had issues with it slipping around. Overall we love these socks! They do tend to wear quickly with daily use but they are used heavily so it's ok. These are great for horses with sensitive skin/ skin prone to rubs.

Slipping issue
I bought these sock to put under my horses fleece Equi fit boots because he is prone to boot rubs on almost every part of his leg, however, no matter how I secured it according to instructions by the time I’d be jumping to warm up for my class they’d have slid all the way down until they were around the fetlock :( hoping to find a way to get these to work but so far have found no solution..

Great idea, poor execution.
These socks worked really well for about the first week. But then they started falling apart. They got torn in all different areas and the ace bandage like material started fraying. I followed the manufacturers instruction for proper on/off methods, but they seemed to fragile no matter what. They really did work, though they did start to slip a bit, but a hand rinse at the wash rack and that helped. Sadly, due to the damage done to the sock, I had to send them back. SmartPak was awesome about the return process and refunded my money. :) Love SmartPak, these socks... No so much.

Great idea, but an epic fail
I have a horse with a high suspensory injury. The vets want him to wear boots for turnout, for support, but his skin is fragile and boot rubs are a perpetual problem. I thought socks were the perfect answer, and they seemed to be for the first couple of days. By the third day, they were no longer snug enough and were slipping down, even under a snugly fastened boot, creating 'sock rubs'. Keep trying; this is an idea that should work!
