While not a substitute for an N95 mask, the 3 layer cotton mask, in some cases could help preserve the life of an N95 and is similar in effectiveness of an average surgical mask. These masks should not give you a false sense of security during these uncertain times and you should continue to adhere to all federal and state guidelines and regulations.

proper material consideration - possible fit
as with an "fitting" type item - there may always be some opinions ... this particular mask seems geared to a slightly larger face / head. I can certainly wear it, and the double tie system is helpful for fit. However, if you are not willing to tie and untie frequently (a problem for those of us ladies with longer hair) - then it is a bit cumbersome for any form of on/off use in public.

Love the ties!
We bought these for our barn staff as soon as they started selling them, and love them! the ties are much more comfortable than the usual elastic earstraps, and allow us to keep the mask around our necks when we need to take them off short-term. They seem a little pricey, but I have worn mine to work every day, I hand-wash it after work and it air-dries overnight, so it is the only barn-mask I need! They have a strip of flexible metal for the bridge of your nose, giving it a nice fit and keeping it out of your eyes.

Very comfortable mask
This mask fits very securely, and I don't feel like it is going to slip off my face when I talk or turn my head. It does take some getting used to as the 3-ply fabric is quite thick, which may make it more difficult for some to breathe in the heat. I tie the top tie over my ponytail and then put on my cap, so the mask never slips. I like the fact that it has the pocket for a filter, but I haven't tried that yet.
