Good for some
My sister and I both bought and began using this product this summer. We each had horses that had inflammation from it. My gelding had an inflamed chest and sheath where I applied it more heavily. It worked well on the horses that were not sensitive to the spray.

Favorite spray
Use it as anti fungal / fly spray / skin health, the only product I buy in bulk. Great for cannon crud, face itches, and all over

I diluted it in vinegar/water mixture I use, works great. The flies fall right off the horse, and avoid the sprayed areas for maybe a few hours. I mostly use it for my mare's belly and shoulder where she was getting hives from biting flies, and her skin is doing great now. I spray her morning/night and it does the trick. The smell is nice if a bit strong, but that's probably why it works lol. My horse and I don't mind it, and I often get a face full of it thanks to the strong winds out here. It doesn't leave any strange residue or feeling either. Will buy again when mine runs out.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE
I've already spoken with an Equiderma rep online about my concern for my horse getting hives before I ordered this (I'd read previous reviews about bad reactions) and was reassured only a "small percentage" of horses have a reaction. Well guess what? My QH mare did. She is covered in hives and I'm just SICK about seeing my horse look like this. I'm having to hose her down now. Plus, it took me forever to figure out what was causing it. This bottle also does not have a mist option only a stream option. Huge waste of spray. So I used the stream and the hives are long lines going across her body. This is how I finally figured out what was causing it. The hives look like whip marks. Hives along the stream spray! Since my QH is allergic why take a chance and continue to use it on my Arab? No, this company needs to REMOVE the ingredient that is causing this issue. This company needs to be more straight forward also and not minimize the risk as i was told. I'll be asking for a refund and can only hope Smartpak will keep the health of our horses in mind and remove this product from their stores. Heaven forbid you use the shampoo/conditioner with NEEM and your horse has a reaction as my mare was only sprayed in streams I cannot imagine the horror shampooing, letting is sit and a horse being allergic. This product is a time bomb in my barn if used on the wrong horse. Never, ever had a hives reaction with ANY fly spray in 40 years. You can see the lines of hives on her neck in photo. STAY AWAY.

This spray smells mild and natural (because it is)- not like chemicals. It lasts all day and my jennys really love it.

Awesome
I have been using equiderma horse spray for about 2 years and its the only stuff that works on my horses. One of my horses suffers from an allergy to nosee ums and he no longer scratches himself constantly. He hardly scratches at all. I will never be without equiderma products, they are all fabulous!

Works well, but one horse is allergic
Although this works well to repel flies, one of my horses got a bad case of hives from it so I cannot use it on him.

Great for sensitive skin
This is the only fly spray I can use on my TB with sensitive skin. Everything else gives him whelps. It is effective after applying & wears off like any other fly spray.

Flies don’t like it!
I’m going to buy another bottle. The flies are present around my horse, but they they don’t land on him. He stopped his stomping with this. I wish it would last longer, but it worked when the chemical ones wouldn’t. There is no chemical smell which is great!

Nice scent
This product works good, but I've used it on 3 or 4 horses and they all break out in hives from it. I spray very lightly and never on their private areas. Too bad, because it helps the flies.

Only fly spray that worked!
We tried multiple flysprays in a mountainous area and it was the only fly spray that helped to keep the deer flies and horse flies at bay. Definitely needed to reapply daily but it did help significantly.

It works! But watch out for hives
This is the only fly spray I've used that actually works. However, my OTTB mare unfortunately started getting hives after a couple days of use, so I stopped using it on her. And that was before I noticed the warning in the description on the website about it potentially causing hives. As far as the smell - it doesn't exactly smell good, but it doesn't smell bad. It's more like an interesting smell, slightly pleasant, but it is strong. If your horse doesn't have a reaction to it I highly recommend it.
Note that the bottle says you can use it on people, dogs, and horses, but not cats (no idea why). It's nice to have something that's safe enough for use on people though. I feel much better using products like that on my horse.

Effective but Harsh on My Horses
Extremely effective...flies stayed far away...BUT my mare developed extreme sensitivity (couldn’t even touch her) and both my horses started having flaking skin. Had to stop it for their own comfort/health. I hope that’s an uncommon reaction!

Best herbal
This is my go to herbal fly spray. My horse has sensitive skin and though he was never itchy from it he did get dry skin from the cedar oil she is sensitive to so I dilute mine which is I know off label but I put some witch hazel in there and he does fine with it. It is very effective and fairly priced. I like all Equiderma products.

Effective and gentle
I have a very sensitive Anglo-Arabian mare who cannot tolerate regular fly sprays. She actually gas colicked two years ago after being sprayed with a lighter, normal fly spray. Happily, she has no reaction to this spray and it makes her coat look beautiful due to the oils. It is also quite effective for the day; however, I do not expect a natural fly spray to work for weeks at a time.

waste of money- doesn't work
This is one of the worst fly sprays I have ever tried. I've tried other natural sprays- all with disappointing results- they just don't work. I'm particularly disappointed with this one as my horse has HUGE WELTS on his belly, back, and shoulder, along with bloody legs. Additionally, this spray is very oily and his white coat is now brown. Finally, the sprayer is very messy. It leaks and I get residual fly spray on my hands when I spray my horse. Very disappointed. I don't like using chemicals, but I plan to go back to using Tritec.

Used this for over 2 years
Using the whole Equiderma line on a 27 yr old sensitive skinned QH gelding. Some reviews have stated this has caused their horses to break out in hives. This happened to me last year. This year after beginning using the spray again the hives returned. Diluted this spray 50/50 with water and the hives disappeared and the flys are still repelled with the diluted solution. Diluting this makes the spray more economical and my senior QH is doing well with the whole Equiderma line. Definitely recommend giving this a try.

Best smelling, best working, and no sneezing!
I've tried a bunch of natural fly repellants and this one blows the others out of the water, including EcoVet and OutSmart. This one smells amazing and doesn't send ME into a coughing/sneezing fit when it inadvertently (and inevitably) blows my way. The flies stay away and it must provide some sort of coat moisturizing, since my mare's coat looks like I conditioned it a bit after.

Smells great and decreased the fly population
I have used this previously and really liked it. I then saw a video clip about Equiderma and how the neem affects the ability of flies to reproduce by affecting their hormone systems. I was skeptical but ended up using this throughout fly season. Well, it must really do what it says because I had almost no files this year. In previous years the flies that I did have were very aggressive and obnoxious. I will never be without it now.

Major Swelling!
I had only heard good things about this product - specifically in helping with mites - but should have read all the reviews first! Both horses have major swelling and hives over their body and are painful where I sprayed them. It is so bad I thought they had gotten into ground hornets at first until I realized both horses had swelling and the only change was trying this product yesterday. Equiderma needs to go back to the drawing board on this product - very disappointed.
