Not durable
I bought this boot in January but I’ve only used it 3 times. It already has a rip. For the money I was hoping they’d last.

Great for long rocky trails for a barefoot horse!
Bought these for my barefoot gelding so that I could bring him along on some trail rides this year without having to put shoes on his nice solid barefoot feet (he's 15 and been barefoot his whole life). He's a bit clumsy so I was worried they might be bulky and cause him to trip but they don't at all! They are east to put on and they STAY ON which is the most important. We do some pretty rough trails between mountains, rocks, rivers, mud and lots of galloping and I've never had to worry about them coming off and he seems super confident and comfortable wearing them too!

Easy to use sturdy boots
I just bought my second set of these boots. I love them! They are easy to put put on/take off and aren't too bulky. My horses dont have any issues navigating trails or WTC in an arena with these boots. They hold up great for turn out aswell! My first pair is atleast 3 years old and are still in good usable shape.

Awesome choice for being shoe free
Love the boots. I did return for a size larger! No my pony doesn’t have big feet, but one does need to measure correctly.

Super easy
I knew of these boots from my friend who does a ton of trail riding in rocky MA with her barefoot horses. They have lasted her, unlike other reviews here, for over 4 years. Maybe the newer fabrications are less quality? In any case, I used mine on my barefoot ottb who was sensitive on hard gravel and consistent w/t/c on the trails with them and she went extremely well with them. They are super easy to put on and remove which is a huge feature. I did not find they were hard to fit at all like another comment here, but think that each style of each brand is NOT for each horse! So, if these measurements don’t match up, look for a different boot!

The sole is perfect for a tender hooved horse
The women at the barn said I should buy these since it was becoming difficult to go on trail rides. Some days my horse won't let me take them off his feet!!

Not durable
I bought these several months ago. I purchased 4. Two tore apart after three light trail rides. The sole ripped off of the rest of the boot. The other two are still working fine as of now. the fit was great and they had good traction.

Really hard to fit
These boots are much harder to fit than the Cavallos. The measurements were right but it was very hard to tell if they fit properly.

Easy To Put On And Off But Not Durable
First off I want to say I love the customer service at SmartPak! We originally ordered the newer version of these boots and not sure if there was a defect but one would not stay on. Smartpak was so helpful and let us return them. They have always been so helpful! We had used these in the past so went back to this and our farrier did say to use them. Our horse has navicular and we put pads in these boots and they make her more comfortable. She just wears them in the pasture and is not super active. We walk her in them and she is comfortable. The bottoms look heavy duty for trails etc its just not what we have them for. The best thing about them is that they are easy to put on and take off and they stay on. My husband is the one that puts them on and off and he loves the ease of that as we have had other boots for other horses that you always had to mess with. The downfall on these boots is that the upper portion is not durable at all. We have had these for 5 months and we ordered her a new pair today. Since my husband is the one that deals with them he decided because of ease of use it is worth it to him to replace more often so we did. I do feel they should last longer as she is standing around in a pasture not tearing them up on a trail or anything like that. So in the durability department on the upper portion I am dissatisfied but ease of use and staying on power I am happy.
