Why We Love This

The new Easyboot Stratus is a premium therapeutic hoof boot system designed to give comfort and support to horses with thin soles, abscesses, founder, laminitic stages, stresses of shipping, recovery after workouts or stalling on hard surfaces. It also provides instant and ongoing relief for horses suffering from chronic lameness and general lower limb or hoof problems by aiding movement and reducing recovery time after injury or surgery.
The boot comes with a patent pending adjustable TheraPad system that allows each pad to be custom tailored to the horse and conditions. The adjustable TheraPad can be used without the TheraRods or the TheraRods can be inserted into the pad to provide more or firmer padding. The three densities of rods provide numerous possibilities.
The upper is made of premium leather. A padded collar provides additional relief to the pastern area. Internal neoprene is used in the heel area for comfort. A patent pending "heel lock" system holds the heel in place and prevents twisting. Three air vents provide air circulation to keep the hoof cool while preventing the accumulation of dirt and debris.
The Easyboot Stratus will come packaged with boot, TheraPad and 15 TheraRods (5 TheraRods in three densities).

Instructions for Use:
Applying the EasyBoot Stratus
1.) Loosen the hook and loop closure at the top of the boot and bend the rear of the boot collar back.
2.) Pick up the hoof. Hold the boot from the bottom and slip it over the toe.
3.) Push the boot until the toe meets the front of the boot. Do not pull on the upper material.
4.) Place the hoof on the ground to set the heal and return the collar to the upright position.
5.) Fasten the hook and loop closure at the top of the boot.

Removing the EasyBoot Stratus
1.) Unfasten the hook and loop at the rop of the boot.
2.) Pull off the boot by pulling down and away on the back of the boot.

How to Measure for Boots
1.) After a fresh trim, measure the width of the hoof accross the sole at the widest point.
2.) Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. The buttress line is the farthest weight bearing point of the heel where the hoof wall ends. Do not include the heel bulbs in the measurement.
3.) Compare your measurements with the size chart below.
4.) Ideally, the length and width measurement will fit into the same size. If the width and the length measurements indicate different sizes, select the larger size. If the width and length measurements are different by more than one size, this boot style is not recommended.

EasyBoot Stratus is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed I purchased these a month ago for a horse who needed added support while recovering from being trimmed much too short. We had serious concerns of founder, laminitis, abscessing, etc. and wanted to get him something that would take the pressure off his soles and encourage the hoof wall to grow out properly. The therarod pad system was excellent for this - you can place the support exactly where they need it. The horse was lame before the boots went on and sound after he was in them. Also, these boots not only held up to a horse who normally destroys/removes everything, they also held up to some light arena turnout. We have kept them on in the stall and removed for turnout. I am VERY happy with the purchase and so happy that there is product on the market like the Stratus boot that is durable and well made. They were a real relief in a time of need.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boots I bought two pairs of these boots so I can rotate when it rains to a dry pair. The boots have held up great with 24 hour wear including turnout. These rub way less than the other boots I have tried from easycare. The only thing I don't like is that the padded parts seem to absorb any humidity in the air.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from another disappointment I started with the Easy Boot RX which fell apart quickly, then moved to the Cloud which was a bit better and lasted 4 months. The Stratus sounded like it would hold up better but after 3 uses it began to tear at the seem on the top cushion. I have bought 4 pairs of Easy Boots (Trail also) and 2 of them were miss sewn so were sent back. Hoping they find a way to make these boots in the USA so the quality is there. My mare has Cushings, laminitis, and Coffin Bone rotation and I am just trying to keep her comfortable. She does wear the boots more than they are off, but is only in a stall with a small dirt "patio." For the price, I would think these boots would last longer. I did not use the pad with the rods yet. I use the blue pads that have a higher back for heal support.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from EasyBoot Stratus These boots were recommended to me by my farrier who was excited that there was a new therapeutic boot that is supposed to be more durable than the EasyBoot Cloud - spoiler alert - it's not :( I put the boots on him (fronts only) on a Wednesday, and by the following Friday, the insides of the boots were shredded and the cloth layer on the inserts has almost completely come off of the pad. He has not managed to get the boots off, and they don't seem to shift much which is great. He is out 24/7, but is not a super active horse to begin with. I took the boots on and off every day for at least a couple of hours, so it isn't like he was just left out with them. For the amount of money that you put out for these boots and the way the company talks about how much more durable they are, they absolutely should not be destroyed in a week and a half. EasyCare suggested I return them and try the insoles from these boots with the Old Mac G2, I'm going to try it, but won't hold my breath until I see that they can hold up. I want to believe that a horse that is stalled 24/7 wouldn't do the same damage, but I just can't see them being durable in any situation if this is what happened to me.
