Rated 4 out of 5 by Maddie from Super Boot! I've had this boot for about 3 weeks now and am very happy with how well my horse is going. She is a bit tender footed, especially after standing outside on the frozen mud all day. I have used this boot mainly for arena work and look forward to using it outside on the trails and gravel roads. They are easy to put on and the measurements that are provided are accurate for sizing. I like that they are sold individually, as my mare wears two completely different sizes. I look forward to seeing how durable they are. I worried that they will rub her heels, but I have ridden her at all three gaits for about an hour without any issues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by halleyrider from Very difficult to put on and take off. These boots are probably great if your planning on doing some heavy duty trail riding on difficult terrain, but for light trail riding just walking with some occasional trotting i would recommend trying something more simple life the Scoot Boot, the Old Macs, or the EasyBoot Trails. For a horse tha'ts not totally cooperative, I found the Epic boots difficult to get on and nearly impossible to take off. The directions indicate to use a screw driver to pry the boot off. I would need a third hand. Way too complicated for me and really not happening with my horse. As much as I wanted to try them out on him, the return policy is only new or as new, so I only tried one on him in his stall. I nearly thought I wouldn't get it back off his foot. Here's a tip: buy them from the manufacturer and you can ride in them to your heart's content and still return them within 45 days!

My horses have been barefoot for over 13 years and rarely need hoof protection, but when they do, I can always depend on Easyboot Epics to do their job. They stay on through everything our trails in the Missouri Ozarks can throw at us, rocks, ravines, mud, river crossings, you name it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Neiner from Not what I'd call "Epic", but close The struggle is real. I acquired a rescued OTTB with soundness issues...not the usual bowed tendon(s), but minor laminitis. Farrier and vet pronounced him recoverable, got him sound, put glue-ons on him, and that was that. I let him be a horse for a year, and about 9months in, he started having trouble being even just pasture sound. Went through the usual suspects, xrayed again, and the long and short of it is that his feet "just kinda suck". I put him on a stupidly large dose of farriers formula double strength (great product, by the way) and bought these boots for his front feet. He wears a 5, which is only a problem because the gaiters have no chance of fitting (they're draft sized), and I'm pretty sure I can't swap them out with smaller ones because they conform the the bottom of the boot. I'll re-sew Velcro farther back and see if that helps. In the meantime, I pulled the gaiters off and moved the cables back to tighten them up and spread the load around the sides of his hooves. He also wears bell boots 24/7. He's sound!!! And staying sound! Thank God. I don't care if I can never ride him, as long as he's not in pain, nor causing pain for my poor farrier, who is a saint. Long story short, these are great boots that (if you're willing to spend hours fiddling with them) can give a custom fit and stay on, even in mud. Not a 5 because of the gaiter issue and the fact that I did have to troubleshoot for about a week before I could get them perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jball410 from Great boots for the low heeled horse! My horse has very low heels and long toes. He also wears a size 2.5/3 in regular nail on shoes, so not tiny feet. All of the other brands I tried rubbed either his heel bulbs or the top of the boot hit the underside of his fetlock. These were great! Did 3 miles on trails straight out of the box the first time. Now to see if they hold up!

They are not the easy to get on, but once on they stayed on and hope after a few more rides will be a little easier. I rode her on a trail ride after letting her wear in pasture for a few hours to check for fit and there was no rubbing!:)) I did have one of the clips pop open so will need to use pin in future to lock in place. I prefer these to the Easyboot glove due to the fit and adjustment options. My mare had no problem adjusting to these and rode very well on the trail.

However, his feet were too wide but too short for them to fit. My trainer tried to adjust them, but it's going to take some proper trimming before they'll be a good fit. I'm so unhappy that I had to send them back. I'll try again when his feet are in better shape.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sblunch from They fit my horses feet! Tried several "Fit Kits" for the EasyBoot Glove. Couldn't keep any of them on my horse. Tried these, they are great! Found these to be much easier to put on than the ones I had several years ago. The gaiter helps keep dirt out. They protect the whole hoof. And they are legal at AQHA shows.
