Good product!
Love that these are easily washed - good for the humid Florida weather for sure. Definitely have a little more 'give/stretch' than regular leather. Great purchase and very happy.

Great for chewers
I bought these because my mare loves to chew. Anything that will fit in her mouth gets chewed. I think her favorite thing to chew is leather. Nylon is also a top choice. Unfortunately, I ride her in a short shank hackamore that drops the reins right at mouth level. Although I try to be vigilante, leather reins don't stand a chance. Nylon does a little better, but she did chew one rein enough to ruin the stitching so I had to tie a knot in it (not a great look, and then the reins were uneven). I've only used these reins once, but so far, my mare has been far less interested in them than any other reins, and the nibbles she did take didn't seem to affect them at all.
Negatives - I wish they were laced and had hook stud closures for a more traditional look and feel. Also, I feel like there was maybe a tiny bit more give in them than leather or nylon reins.
