I started using this pair about 2 weeks ago. The velcro tore off both within 2 weeks. The rubber was not the issue just the stiching on the velcro. My horse is not hard on bell boots.

Great bell boot!

Sturdy and tough!
I always buy Davis bell boots, because they last. I don't think in the many years of using them that I've ever had the rubber rip. Eventually, as with all bell boots (other than pull-ons, which are hard to use), the velcro will rip, but since there are two strips, they last twice as long. I've also found that rinsing them off regularly prolongs the life of the velcro straps.

The best boot out there!
My TB wears them constantly and they last 3-5 months at a time. Yes, the Velcro is what gets destroyed but considering they last that long, I have no complaints.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately the bell boots Velcro came off the boot. Boots are in good shape just Velcro came away from boot. All Velcro intact. It just separated. They don’t make thing like they used to. Very disappointed. Not worth the money.

Love them and the Velcro is strong but..
My TWH Nashville started wearing the pair back in early June 2018...Loved that the Velcro kept them on his feet...But one of the Velcro strips fell off last week...I'm ordering another pair because I love the purple glitter and hoping this pair will last.

Tough bell boots
Our OTTB went through 4 pairs of bell boots in the first month we had him off the track (and pulled 2 shoes with them on). Then we tried these. So far, so good - his bell boots and shoes are intact. He loves to pull the velcro open and dunk his boots in his water bucket - and he hasn't been able to open these.

So far so good!
My horse is currently on "sabbatical" so I am riding a friend's draft mare who likes to ding herself and needs bell boots. The large draft are almost too big but so far she hasn't been able to ding herself with these on!

Great bell boots!
I own 3 pairs of these in the colors: baby blue, white, and black. They work best for my horse as he tends to pull his bell boots off, I like that it has extra velcro! They do run large and size medium fits my horse best.

Great bell boots last very well
I love these bell boots bought for my Quarter Horse mare, (she steps on her front feet with her hind feet and pulls her shoes off). I bought the large in royal blue, they last VERY well, she has been wearing them for 8 months! They are easy to take off and the velcro tabs have lasted all this time! (fingers crossed).

I like these except for the inconsistent sizing.
We use bell boots for turnout to help avoid pulled shoes (and thus a grumpy farrier when we can't find the shoes). My oldest doesn't kill bell boots as much as some of the others do thankfully. But these do not seem to be as consistent as they used to be about sizing, and quality of the velcro straps. They are definitely better than some of the other brands I've tried over the years but it's annoying to not be able to just reorder the same size and know it's actually gonna fit my horses' feet.

Best bells for the price!
These are hands down the best bells boots around. They hold up to daily turn out and 5-6 days a week of riding. The Velcro can be a pain to get undone at times but that is the reason they stay on and stay put! They hold up longer then most on the market. I love that I can get a range of colors....funky,fun and bright for turn out. Classic colors for lesson and show. When ever I need bells these are the ones I reach for.

Very sensible
I bought these boots in the baby blue color originally in the size: large. They came in and were way too big for my horse who normally wears a large in pro choice bell boots. Luckily SmartPak has excellent customer service and I returned them for a size medium which work perfectly. They cover my horses front hooves completely which is great peace of mind for when he goes out to play or is being ridden.

I got these because my mare got her first pair of shoes! I got the blue, which is a beautiful color, in case she got clever and figured out how to get them off, which she hasn't yet! I plan on buying another set as a 'back-up' pair

Davis bell boots are some of the most durable available. Even with daily use, they hold up without damage to the rubber, although the Velcro tabs show wear. I like their flexibility as well. This is a well-known standby producer that deserves its reputation.
